Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha Episode 3 is the upcoming episode in tVN’s latest drama. Starring, Shin Mina and Kim Seon Ho in the leading roles, Hometown-Cha-Cha-Cha is all set to become one of the biggest tVN dramas of 2021, after Vincenzo, with its high domestic ratings. The main plot of the drama revolves around the life of Yoon Hye Jin who moves her cosmopolitan life from an upscale neighborhood in downtown Seoul to a seaside town called Gongjin. Hye Jin has a tough time adjusting to life in the countryside. Moreover, she tries to live her liberal, city life in Gongjin which does not sit very well with the village elderly. However, this is where Hong Du Sik comes in. He is the village chief who is actually unemployed but does all kinds of odd jobs for the minimum wage.
Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha is actually the remake of a classic Korean movie called ‘Chief Hong’. In fact, Kim Seon plays the role of Hong Du Sik in the series – the titular character in the movie.
Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha Episode 3: Release Date and Preview
Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha Episode 3 will hit our screens on September 4, 2021, at 9 P.M. KST. If you are in South Korea, you can watch it directly on tVN. However, regardless of where you are in the world, you can watch Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha Episode 3 on Netflix.
In the previous episode’s epilogue, we saw that the picture that Hye Jin has with her parents in the Gongjin beach was actually taken by Du Sik’s grandfather. In fact, the same day, the two of them also got a picture clicked. Coincidentally, it happens to be the one that Hye Jin saw outside the photo studio. In Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha Episode 3, we will see Hye Jin and Du Sik going to Seoul together. The old lady who had brought Du Sik up when he was a kid also visits her clinic. People start asking Hye Jin if she is seeing Du Sik but Hye Jin makes it a point to deny those rumors promptly.
Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha Episode 2: Recap
The 2nd Episode of Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha starts with Du Sik showing Hye Jin a place that can become her clinic. Hye Jin looks around and likes the place which also has a beautiful view of the sea. Hye Jin asks to see the next place but to her surprise, Du Sik says that this is the only place. He later shows her a house which she also ends up liking. It turns out that the fish restaurant owner is the landlord of both the plots. Hye Jin finds this suspicious but her doubts are cleared when she sees the government identities.

It also turns out that Du Sik can also handle the entire renovation of her new home and clinic with all his certifications. Hye Jin is impressed with his work. Before the opening of the clinic, after Hye Jin is well-settled in Gongjin, the villagers invite her for a party. This party has been organized for the elderly people in Gongjin. Hye Jin is having a very difficult time trying to get used to the way of life in Gongjin.
Mi Seon calls her while Hye Jin is at the party and she begins ranting about the people here. Unfortunately for Hye Jin, she enters the village chief’s office where his announcement mic is switched on. Everyone in the entire village overhears Hye Jin talk to Mi Seon about her ordeal of talking to Chun Jae about his failed career. Everyone is absolutely appalled at the comments she makes. Once Mi Seon realizes, it’s too late to make amends so she just leaves.
Du Sik Helps Hye Jin
After the scandal that Hye Jin finds herself in, it is as though the entire town has turned its backs on her. She is completely devastated because it seems to her as though cannot really run her clinic in Gongjin at all. Mi Seon also moves in with her after being cheated on by her boyfriend.

Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha
After nobody visits the clinic on the first day, Du Sik watches Hye Jin’s plight from afar. He gives her the idea that she should distribute rice cakes among all the villagers. However, that exercise is not very fruitful since Hye Jin’s reluctance is very prominent from her expressions. Later, Du Sik asks her to attend the village weekly meeting. There, Du Sik brings snacks for everyone from Chung Hwa’s store on behalf of Hye Jin. Everyone is delighted with the snacks.
The next day, Hye Jin’s clinic is bustling with patients. Over the next couple of days, Hye Jin is extremely busy and never out of work. She decides to thank Du Sik for being this kind. On her way to the rocks to meet him, Hye Jin meets Chun Jae and apologizes for her past behavior. She also tells him about her favorite track from his album. Chun Jae forgives her immediately and is very happy with the honest review.
The episode ends with romance blooming between Du Sik and Hye Jin. Once she reached the rocks by sea, she has difficulty reaching Du Sik’s rock since she’s wearing heels. Du Sik helps her get up but she slips and lands in his arms. We will have to wait for Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha Episode 3 to see how their story blooms.
