The 2nd Episode of Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha starts with Du Sik showing Hye Jin a place that can become her clinic. Hye Jin looks around and likes the place which also has a beautiful view of the sea. Hye Jin asks to see the next place but to her surprise, Du Sik says that this is the only place. He later shows her a house which she also ends up liking. It turns out that the fish restaurant owner is the landlord of both the plots. Hye Jin finds this suspicious but her doubts are cleared when she sees the government identities.
It also turns out that Du Sik can also handle the entire renovation of her new home and clinic with all his certifications. Hye Jin is impressed with his work. Before the opening of the clinic, after Hye Jin is well-settled in Gongjin, the villagers invite her for a party. This party has been organized for the elderly people in Gongjin. Hye Jin is having a very difficult time trying to get used to the way of life in Gongjin.
Mi Seon calls her while Hye Jin is at the party and she begins ranting about the people here. Unfortunately for Hye Jin, she enters the village chief’s office where his announcement mic is switched on. Everyone in the entire village overhears Hye Jin talk to Mi Seon about her ordeal of talking to Chun Jae about his failed career. Everyone is absolutely appalled at the comments she makes. Once Mi Seon realizes, it’s too late to make amends so she just leaves.
Du Sik Helps Hye Jin
After the scandal that Hye Jin finds herself in, it is as though the entire town has turned its backs on her. She is completely devastated because it seems to her as though cannot really run her clinic in Gongjin at all. Mi Seon also moves in with her after being cheated on by her boyfriend.
After nobody visits the clinic on the first day, Du Sik watches Hye Jin’s plight from afar. He gives her the idea that she should distribute rice cakes among all the villagers. However, that exercise is not very fruitful since Hye Jin’s reluctance is very prominent from her expressions. Later, Du Sik asks her to attend the village weekly meeting. There, Du Sik brings snacks for everyone from Chung Hwa’s store on behalf of Hye Jin. Everyone is delighted with the snacks.
The next day, Hye Jin’s clinic is bustling with patients. Over the next couple of days, Hye Jin is extremely busy and never out of work. She decides to thank Du Sik for being this kind. On her way to the rocks to meet him, Hye Jin meets Chun Jae and apologizes for her past behavior. She also tells him about her favorite track from his album. Chun Jae forgives her immediately and is very happy with the honest review.
The episode ends with romance blooming between Du Sik and Hye Jin. Once she reached the rocks by sea, she has difficulty reaching Du Sik’s rock since she’s wearing heels. Du Sik helps her get up but she slips and lands in his arms. We will have to wait for Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha Episode 3 to see how their story blooms.
