Halo Infinite Cyber Showdown Event: New Mode and Rewards.

The new event, known as Cyber Showdown Event, is now available for the players to play, complete, and most of all enjoy. The new event has brought many new contents for the games, including rewards and a new mode. Like the previous event called Tenrai Event, Cyber Showdown is also a free event. Let us show you what Cyber Showdown brings.

New Gameplay mode: Attrition

Cyber Showdown has come with a new mode called Attrition mode.

In this mode, the team play is very important, literally, as the team has a limited amount of lives. When the lives deplete, the player killed after the depletion can only come back to the game when a teammate respawns them. But the players have to be careful as the enemy team may come and kill you as you are respawning the team. The team which depletes the opponent team’s lives and kills all the opponents after depletion wins.

If you thought this was all, then you are wrong, the map will have a zone that will shrink, just like the battle royale, and kill the players if they are outside of the zone. The mode has the best-of-three type gameplay, where the team who wins three times wins the game. The map on which the Attrition mode is available is BazaarStreetsAquariusBehemothLive Fire, and Recharge.

We do not yet know if the Attrition mode will remain or not after the Cyber Showdown event. And if it does get removed, whether it will come back or not. But based on the previous events where the developers added new modes like Fiesta and Free-For-All, there is hope for the Attrition mode to come back.

Cyber Showdown Rewards

Like the Tenrai Event, all the rewards in the Cyber Showdown are free, meaning the players can get rewards without spending any real money in Halo Infinite. There are a total of ten rewards in the event. The rewards are:

  • 1 Rank – Expecting Trouble Stance
  • 2 Rank – MA40 Electric Bubblegum Weapon Coating
  • 3 Rank – Cross Glitch Backdrop
  • 4 Rank – Brute Rock Background
  • 5 Rank – Neon Screen Armor Effect

When Will Cyber Showdown Event End?

The Cyber Showdown Event began on 18 January 2022 and will span only two weeks. The event will end on 31 January 2022, meaning the players have to go all out and grind in just two weeks to get all the ten rewards of the events.

343 Industries has not said whether the Cyber Showdown Event will return or not, like the Tenrai Event, which is coming back again in February. So let us cross our fingers and hope that it comes back so that the one who won’t be able to complete and achieve the event’s reward may get a new chance in the future to achieve it in the future.
