The second movie’s title was revealed to be Gintama 2: Okite wa Yaburu Tame ni Koso Aru (The Law is Surely There to be Broken). It will cover the Shinsengumi Crisis and Shogun Reception arcs. As seen on the trailer, even though the movie is expected to have a lot of out of the wall gags, there will be an equal amount of action and sword-swinging in the movie. And of course, a lot of references from other shows (like Parasyte) was seen in the trailer.

The trailer, which was released a few months ago, shows a lot of fight scenes between Gintoki and a new character. There is also a dangerous “living weapon” that even Gintoki have a hard time dealing with it. He even compared it to the manga “Parasyte”, you know, for the gags. The story was set on semi-Edo and semi-Future Japan.

Shun Oguri, Masaki Suda, and Kanna Hashimoto will be reprising their roles as Gintoki Sakata, Shinpachi Shimura, and Kagura respectively. Other characters such as Tae Shimura, and Kotaro Katsura will be played by Masami Nagasawa and Masaki Okada. Elizabeth’s mascot costume is also pretty spot on.
