The year 2020 was not so good for us because of the pandemic. But, that didn’t stop gamers from playing to their heart’s content. Moreover, the lockdown and restriction on movement around the globe inspired many to pick up their controllers and start gaming just to pass the time. And during these thick times, Sucker Punch Productions came out with the long-awaited Ghost Of Tsushima in July 2020. It became a mega-hit and was praised by critics. After the tremendous success and support from the players, Sucker Punch Productions announced an expansion for the game called Ghost Of Tsushima: Legends. Ghost Of Tsushima was first announced in December 2017, and its first gameplay was released at E3 2018. It took two years for the developers to bring this amazing game out to the people, but they did it. Ghost Of Tsushima follows the story of a samurai named Jin Sakai, who is the last remaining member of Clan Sakai. The Mongol empire has invaded the Japanese island called Tsushima. Now Jin, with help from his allies and friends, must fight off the invaders and their general Khotun Khan.
Ghost Of Tsushima Storyline And Expansion Details
The Ghost Of Tsushima is set in 1274 when Mongols invaded Tsushima island. Lord Jin Sakai and his uncle Lord Shimura are prepared to fight them with their army of Samurais. In the battle, Shimura is captured, and Jin is left to die. He is saved by Yuna, who is a thief, and shows him the ways of the assassins. Jin, along with her, recruits her brother, Taka, who is a blacksmith and can make weapons for him. He also asks the help of master archer Sadanobu Ishikawa, female samurai Masako Adachi, his old friend Ryuzo who is a ronin, and a merchant by the name Kenji.
Jin, along with this team of professionals, sets out to free Shimura from castle Kaneda. Taka designs a grappling hook for him to scale the walls of the castle. Jin is betrayed by Ryuzo, who is starving and is offered a bounty to kill him. He defeats the ronin and frees Lord Shimura. Along with that, he also gains control of the castle Kaneda. But this wasn’t a victory as Khotun Khan had already left to capture castle Shimura along with Ryuzo. And so the adventure continues.
Ghost Of Tsushima: Legends was released in October 2020. The game is a free expansion for those who already had purchased the original title.
