The famous British Televised baking competition known as The Great British Bake Off is mostly known to all as GBBO or Bake Off. It is produced by Love Productions. The first episode of GBBO was aired on 17 August 2010. The show is currently in Season 9 and is broadcast on Channel 4. This year 12 bakers participated in the show ranging from the ages 27 to 56.
The show has only aired two of the episodes till now and is slated to end on 30th October 2018. 11th September is the date slot for the 3rd episode of Series 10 of GBBO. Luke and Imelda have been eliminated from the series for now. Noel Fielding presents the GBBO with Sandi Toksvig. Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith are the judges in GBBO.
GBBO Season 9: All We Know
After the 7th series of the GBBO, Channel 4 and Love Production struck a deal to air the show on the former, making the renewal up to Season 10. The show was previously run on various channels of BBC. Though Season 10 of GBBO is definitely on the cards, details have been kept under the wraps. September 11 is going to be Bread themed weak for GBBO. Channel 4 cashed enormously on GBBO. It has brought back it’s modus operandi- singing cakes in the Trailer.
And to add to that this time around it was Christina Aguilera’s Beautiful that graced their trailer. The GBBO proudly has a viewership if 15 million. Last year Sophie Faldo took the title, and the finale episode alone saw 10 million viewers alone.
For now, the GBBO airs on Tuesdays on Channel 4 at 8 pm. Besides this year Paul Hollywood has spoken of how the GBBO will be simple in terms of format. The show was getting over complicated with time and this Season; they have decided to notch it down a little.
The GBBO Season 10: Details
No information has been revealed about Season 10 considering Season 9 has just begun. We need to settle down, be done with Season 9 first and then debate the next. There’s definitely going to be Season 10 as per the deal struck between Love Productions and Channel 4. We’ll update this page as soon as we have the details.
