PUBG is one of the most famous games out there. The game has fans throughout the world, and it just keeps on growing bigger and bigger with each passing year. However, I’m not here to talk about that. I’m here to talk about the new PUBG 1.0 update, which is going to be released on Xbox One. PUBG is going to leave the Xbox Preview program as a part of this update, and it will be recognized as a full release.
The developer Bluehole have also included new features in the game. These new features include a new map, a new game mode, and a new currency. PUBG is currently down on Xbox One for server maintenance. The servers were taken offline on 9 am UK time on September 3, and they will be up and running at 1 am BST September 4. So, as you can see the maintenance will last for a total of 16 hours.
The Xbox One players will be able to get their PUBG fix by downloading and logging into the public test servers. “To take part in the test, all you have to do is own a copy of PUBG for Xbox One and search for ‘PUBG Test Server'”
“PTS will be available to all players, available maps (Miramar, Erangel) will be the same as live servers. Please be aware that some game modes will be restricted and only the NA server will be available to play on due to lower player numbers compared to live servers, which can lead to extended matchmaking times.”
One of the biggest additions of from the update is the new map, which isn’t he Sanhok. Bluehole describes the map as follows—
“Inspired by the islands across Southeast Asia, Sanhok is a 4×4 compact battleground. Along with the new map, we will introduce all-new weapons and vehicles for our players to enjoy.”
The update coincides with the release of War Mode. The war mode is available during special events and on selected weekends. PUBG describes War mode like this —
“Teams get points for knockdowns, kills, and for reviving teammates, and the team that reaches the points goal, or has the highest points when the match timer ends, wins the battle.”
