When it comes to Assassin’s Creed, the main thing that attracts everyone is its combat and overall use of the weaponry. The entire franchise is made up of the core element which is parkour and immersive combat style. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is not any different the recently released gameplay just shows the details regarding the types of weapons in ancient Greece and the combat style in the upcoming title.

This time everything will be of ancient Greece, and our brave Sparta is not going to give any mercy to any of his enemies. However, there is one catch, though the main character was born in Sparta, he left the place at a very young age, so that makes him an incomplete Sparta, according to the director of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Scott Phillips.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey New Gameplay: Combat Details:

In the trailer, Scott says, “Your player character is born in Sparta, but you move out of Sparta at an early age. So your combat style is not a true Spartan phalanx with the shield and the spear. You’re fighting for your own. You’re fighting for your money. You’re fighting for your life all the time, so your combat is very active, very dynamic.”

Also, it is revealed that 30 different abilities will be available, and it can be assigned to different slots. All of them can be upgraded as your progress in the story but, only a few of them can be used at a particular time. The abilities will give you addition cool powers which will highly increase the combat experience.

The Spear of Leonidas, one of the cool weapon, will use the adrenaline system extensively, and its abilities also depend on it. Scott added “You have to build up adrenaline, energy, for the spear to use that and unleash these abilities. You have to use the base combat to build up the adrenaline, and then you unleash a spear ability.”
