The smartphone industry is been a huge battleground between many companies, OnePlus is soon expected to launch its newest warrior OnePlus 6. With the 5T out of stock, the OnePlus 6 can’t be far from store shelves. Some say that it will be unveiled by the end of the April, with shipments scheduled for a couple of weeks after that. The question is how tough would it be for your pockets?
OnePlus 6 Launch Date
Samsung launched its flagship Galaxy S9 in February. Huawei launched its flagship P20 and P20 Pro in Paris month. Chinese smartphone makers Oppo and Vivo also launched their R15 and X21 in March. Now it is the turn of their sister brand OnePlus to reveal its own flagship smartphone. OnePlus 6 is expected to launch by April end with a new price value. As Oneplus is always seen to increase the price of the newer model.

The flagship will be powered by the Qualcomm SnapDragon 845 and will have an edge-to-edge display, broken only by a small notch at the top of the screen, like the iPhone X. However, other than that, little is known about the new OnePlus. Presumably named OnePlus 6, the new handset will be more expensive than any of its predecessors. The rumored prices for OnePlus6 are as following
- $525 for the base 64GB model with 6GB Ram.
- $600 for the 128GB model with 8GB Ram.
- $700 for the top of the line 256GB model with 8GB Ram.
As these prices are anticipated price for China launch. Price for the USA, Price for INDIA or Price for Europe may vary due to taxes and other factors. Compare the prices above with those of the OnePlus 5T that start at $475 for the 64GB and you’ll notice a slight increase (about $50). It kind of makes sense since OnePlus is trying to implement some of the latest hardware and technologies and they don’t always come cheap, so it’s mostly about the trade-offs the company is willing to make to offer consumers a true “flagship killer.”
The OnePlus 6 purportedly scored an overall score of 276,510 – a significant step-up from the previous flagship from the company, OnePlus 5T, which scored 212,558. If the leaked benchmark score is accurate, OnePlus 6 will be faster than the Samsung Galaxy S9, which clocked-in at 241,470 in the AnTuTu test. Even the £999 iPhone X only managed a score of 226,000. Obviously, benchmark scores are not indicative of real-world performance which is based on a slew of different factors.
