Fruits Basket, also Furuba or Fruba, is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Natsuki Takaya. The manga series was serialized in the semi-monthly Japanese Shōjo Manga magazine Hana to Yume, published by Hakusensha, from 1998 to 2006. The first anime adaptation of Fruits Basket (Furutsū Basuketto) was directed by Akitaro Daichi and produced by Studio Deen, with a list of 26 episodes. Fruits Basket- Prelude prequel episode of the Fruits Basket TV anime was released on December 15, 2021. The release date has been confirmed to be February 18, 2022.
