Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine has recently announced that Atsushi Ohkubo’s Fire Force manga will be ending in two more chapters. The manga has sold even more than 17 million copies. Fire Force manga’s 32nd volume was released last year, on December 17, 2021. Kodansha Comics usually publishes Fire Force manga in English. The manga is currently scheduled to end during the 13th issue of Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine on February 22nd, 2022. Fire Force manga entered its final arc in October 2021.
Ohkubo, the mangaka, previously mentioned on December 31st that his manga would end in a few chapters. He was just left with two chapters to draw. Ohkubo also confirmed that the manga would end in about two more volumes, aka the 34th volume. He has previously hinted to the fans during the author’s commentary of the Fire Force manga’s 23rd compiled volume in May 2020 that he has been planning for retirement, and Fire Force might be his final manga.

Fire Force Manga Concludes With Final Chapter
Fire Force gained large popularity since it started releasing its manga back in September 2015. It is set in a dystopian world where humanity has been taken over by a strange phenomenon that surprisingly transforms ordinary people into firey, scary creatures called Infernals. Fire Force’s manga tells the story of a young pyrokinetic, which is a parapsychological phenomenon. Shinra Kusakabe has the strength to put his feet on fire at will. Shinra joins an institution called the ‘Special Fire Force‘ to protect others from the Infernals. This organization was established to hunt those dangerous creatures while trying to uncover Infernal’s true motifs.
Ohkubo Atsushi, the mangaka of Fire Force as well as the popular Soul Eater, launched Fire Force manga in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine around September 2015. Recently it was announced that the action-packed Fire Force manga will conclude in just two chapters! The final installment is scheduled to be released in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine 13th issue on Feb 22nd, 2022.
Fire Force Last Chapter: Release Date
Fire Force has recently revealed the release date of the last chapter of its manga. The series is scheduled to end on February 22, 2022. Kodansha has even collected Fire Force’s chapters into individual tankōbon volumes. This news was announced by the mangaka during Atsushi Ohkubo’s Livestream (2:21:54 in the video).

Fire Force: Plot
Tokyo’s beautiful cityscape has been immobilized by terror! People who have been possessed by monsters have started to erupt into flames, prompting the formation of a specialized firefighting team: called Fire Force, ready for action at a drop of a hat to combat volatilization wherever it may occur. Shinra, a young man with the remarkable ability to sprint at the velocity of a missile, leaving behind the legendary “devil’s footprints,” is ready to join the team (while destroying his shoes in the process). Can the Fire Department figure out what’s causing this bizarre occurrence and put a stop to it? Or will the city be the first to perish?
Shinra’s path towards becoming a popular savior is not without bumps, as fighting factions within the Special Fire Force have left the organization split and unprepared to handle the increasing amount of bizarre Infernal appearances across Tokyo. Shinra must also address the mysteries behind the inexplicable fire that killed his family Twelve years ago, as a shady group claims to figure out what caused it.
Fire Force: Anime
The manga was adapted into an anime series, which aired in July 2019. The “second chapter” of the show aired in July 2020 and lasted 24 episodes. Funimation released an English dub of the broadcast anime. The series was also available to watch on Crunchyroll. The first season of the anime aired at Toonami in July 2019, and season 2 aired in October 2020.
In November 2018, studio David Production announced an anime adaptation helmed by Yuki Yase, who has previously directed Monogatari. “Fire Force” Season 1 aired for 24 episodes from July 6 to December 28, 2019. Tatsuma Minamikawa, the person who directed Fairy Tail Movie 2: Dragon Cry, also directed “Fire Force”, a 24-episode second season, which aired from July 4 to December 12, 2020. Season 3 of “Fire Force” has still not got an official release date or confirmation. However, since the anime series has collected good ratings and lots of love from fans for the previous seasons, there’s a high chance that season 3 will be announced.
