Family Guy S20 E05 Recap
Chris is angry at Stewie playing around loudly because it’s disturbing his sleep. Lois brings Stewie a Chi-Chi — a toy monkey from her own childhood. Stewie introduces Chi-Chi to his favorite toy, Rupert. Meanwhile, Peter and others do the laundry at the Duds & Suds. Swanson points out that Peter and Quagmire’s underwears are the same brand. Quagmire points out there’s a slight difference. Cut to Stewie — he’s not keen on Chi Chi and wants to get rid of him. He just doesn’t know-how. The next day, he meets Doug at the park. Doug is a rich kid who strikes a deal with Stewie. He tells Stewie he wants to get rid of Tiggywinkles. In exchange for Stewie killing Tiggywinkles, he’ll get rid of Chi-Chi. Stewie accepts the deal.
Meanwhile, Peter and Quagmire’s undies get swapped. Peter wears Quagmire’s and adopts his personality as soon as he puts it on. His sex drive has increased while Quagmire has swapped his personality with Peter’s. Quagmire now cracks annoying jokes similar to how Peter does. Doug arrives, and Stewie leaves home to have an alibi. After a psycho killer dance of menace, Doug climbs up the cupboard and pushes Chi-Chi off. Chi Chi dies (his stuffing comes out, and glasses shatter, I mean, but yeah, that’s pretty dead). Stewie returns and pretends to Chris about not knowing anything. However, Chris is already busy with his own Wednesday schedule.
Stewie & Ms. Tiggywinkles
Stewie heads to Doug’s home to complete the deal and kill Ms. Tiggywinkles. However, when he enters Doug’s room, he discovers that Ms. Tiggywinkles is a real cat. He can’t bring himself to kill Tiggywinkles. Doug confronts him the next day and threatens him to do the job, or his kindergartener friends will hate him. Stewie agrees to keep his end of the bargain and employs Brian’s help. He gives him Lois’s used exercise bras to sniff. In exchange, Brian agrees to help kill Ms. Tiggywinkles. They roll up to Doug’s home, and Brian tries his best. Ms. Tiggywinkles brutalizes Brian. Later, Stewie visits Doug’s home again to warn Tiggywinkles, only to discover she’s already dead. Doug arrives and clicks a photo of Stewie holding dead Tiggywinkles to frame him of murder. In the end, the two kind of make-up over yet another “Doug,” though.
Peter & Quagmire Swap Undies
Noticing that they’re exhibiting unusually strange behavior, Peter and Quagmire wonder why that is. Joe knows what’s up and tells the boys that they’ve swapped each other’s undies. Peter and Quagmire are embarrassed, and things only get awkward between them. At dinner, they continue to act weird and awkward around each other. Ida and Lois try to tell them to contend with their friendship with maturity. However, the dudes are not really big fans of a progressive idea of masculinity. Things become so unbearable for Quagmire that he decides to move. Lois then tells Peter to go stop him since an underwear exchange isn’t worth giving up on friendship. Peter and Quagmire finally understand the message and hug it out.
