Hiro Mashima is one of the biggest manga artists currently, and he is famous for being the creator of Fairy Tail. I’m pretty sure you all are familiar with his works. After the end of Fairy Tail, Hiro Mashima confirmed to us that he was going to launch a new manga that would debut sometime in 2018. We don’t know much else about the manga project, however, he recently shared more information with us on the subject via Twitter. Hiro Mashima confirmed that he is currently working on a “secret” project. It seems this new project is unrelated to the new manga, as he said he’s becoming confused due to working on his new manga, Fairy Tail and the unnamed project simultaneously.
Fairy Tail Creator Hiro Mashima’s New Manga
It seems Hiro Mashima isn’t short of ideas for the new manga either, as he mentioned that “ideas emerge one after the other” for the new manga. Kodansha Comics recently revealed sketches for Hiro Mashima’s new manga, back in April. Unfortunately, they didn’t reveal any major information on the new manga, aside from this: “Japan … America … Europe… The world is waiting … Eleven months have passed since the finale of Fairy Tail. Now a new adventure awaits. On June 27, 2018 the new series by Hiro Mashima begins!” Hiro Mashima’s new work isn’t all that far away now. His new work will be in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine in this year’s 30th issue, which ships on June 27.
According to Hiro Mashima, there may be similarities to Fairy Tail, in that they’ll both be fantasies, but the new manga is going to be different. He also mentioned that Plue will make an appearance in the new manga, which is great. If the manga is as popular as Fairy Tail, it’ll get an anime series very soon. Fairy Tail is also close to its end now, and according to sources, the final season of the series will air on TV in the fall of 2018.
