Hey everyone! Today, I’m going to talk about the Kaioshin, who are the Gods of a Universe in Dragon Ball. For those of you who don’t know, Kaioshin are the supreme Kai who live in the realm of Gods, and are the gods who are meant to create life, and protect their Universe, as opposed to a Hakaishin, who are meant to destroy.
These two come as a pair really, in the sense that if you kill a Kaioshin, the Hakaishin will die as well, which will also put the Angel to sleep, and that is exactly how Zamasu killed all the Gods. Zamasu was just one of the evil Kaioshin that we’ve seen in Dragon Ball Super. There are likely going to be many other as well, and we just don’t know about them yet. Recently, the creator of the Dragon Ball Super manga, Toyotaro, drew a new set of Kaioshin.
He drew three new Kaioshin, who have a rather peculiar appearance. These Kaioshin are not from the first 12 Universes, as we all know who they are. So, it is possible that the newly drawn Kaioshin are from the erased Universe 13-18. It is possible we may be seeing them in the future, which would mean that the Universe 13 – 18 will also be making their appearance, at the end, or maybe even after the Tournament of Power.
We all know it is a possibility that the erased Universes are restored, or maybe in some way, put into a single Universe. If that’s the case, then we may be seeing them after the Tournament of Power ends. It will certainly mean that story of Dragon Ball Super is not going to end anytime soon.
There have been rumors about Super ending, but please don’t buy into the rumors, as Dragon Ball Super is here to stay for long. Now, getting back to the topic, it is also possible that we don’t see these Kaioshin at all, in the story. Maybe Toyotaro just wanted to share a doodle of his, with the fans. I’m not denying the possibility of this, but I highly doubt he would create these characters and then not include them in the Dragon Ball franchise.
I also think it is possible that these Kaioshin will be a part of the upcoming Dragon Ball movies. But, again, there’s no proof. I’m just speculating all this, and until we get a confirmation, it will remain a speciation. The designs for the Kaioshin are extremely interesting though. They certainly do look like they’re evil, but you never know, when it comes to the Kaioshin. Hopefully we’ll get more information about them as time passes.
