Dragon Ball Super EP 116: Jiren Awakens, Is He Afraid Of Goku?

The latest episode of Dragon Ball Super has shown Kefla’s power that terrifies even the Gods of Destruction. It was so huge that Kefla’s Kiai was as strong as the impact of Jiren’s sudden punch to Maji Kayo. Kefla’s power was even enough to make Jiren’s eyes twitch during his meditation. If Goku is eliminated and Kefla remains in the tournament, it is possible that Jiren will stop meditating at last and take the matters into his hands.

As Kefla was about to finish Goku, a miracle once again happened and the Universe 7 Saiyan got his silver eyes back with the comeback of the Ultra Instinct. Kefla realized that she was once again in trouble. It seems like Kefla will not be able to land an attack against Goku on her form right now. That is why she will get all her best moves (and will add some new) to throw it to Goku. She is expected to power up further in the next episode.

But the biggest thing in this episode is Jiren waking up from his meditation. Perhaps, it is because of Kefla’s huge increase in power that will bring uneasiness to the Pride Trooper. Or perhaps, it is because of Goku being able to tap into Ultra Instinct again even without the use of a catalyst such as a Genki Dama.

And this thing right now is something terrific that even Beerus seem to want to fight Goku. Of course, it is still unknown if UI Goku vs Beerus would still happen, with the Universe 7’s fate being unsure right now. But there is surely something about the second appearance of Goku’s Ultra Instinct that even Whis, the only person that we know who have mastered it, seems to get his interest piqued.

Jiren decided to take a time off on his medication when Goku powered up further in his Ultra Instinct Form. It is still not clear if Jiren will join the fight. But why is he worried about a beaten up and stamina-low Son Goku in UI? Is there something that happened to Goku that makes Jiren fear him that he even decided to wake up from his meditation when Goku attained the state again?

It can be possible that Goku, who has been breaking up his limit since he fought Jiren, has now become a threat to Universe 11’s survival. Whatever it is that piqued the interest of Whis might have been noticed by Jiren. Perhaps, it is Goku’s final form of Ultra Instinct that Jiren is looking out for.

Five Things That Always Fails In Dragon Ball Series

The Dragon Ball Series has introduced a lot of concepts, characters and attacks in the past, and even now in Dragon Ball Super. We are given new characters and attacks in almost every arc, while not really letting the old ones left forgotten. With that said, the Dragon Ball has one of the biggest fanbases and is one of the most iconic anime of all time.

In a franchise where power is one of the most important factors to determine whether someone could beat someone, attacks and finishers are one to look out for. Sometimes, the story will build out something big that keeps viewers to look forward to the next episodes. Most of these things fail, and here are the top five things that left us disappointed as kids.

5. Fusions

The fusion was first introduced by Goku and first used by kid Trunks and kid Goten. It was supposed to be the perfect technique that could destroy Buu. What’s best with this arc was that for the first time, characters were not rooting for Goku to beat an enemy. And for the first time in many years, we saw Master Piccolo in the move once again.

The appearance of the fusion was built in so many episodes that everyone was literally looking forward for it. But when the battle came, Gotenks failed to defeat Buu. The honor of killing Buu was once again given to Goku at the end of the Buu saga. The first and last usage of fusion (through fusion dance) failed big time, with Buu even absorbing Piccolo and Gotenks to give Gohan a hard time.

4. Vegeta

You don’t even have to think twice before knowing what is the meaning of this item. Vegeta always has this scenes that seem to steer him towards greatness. That, and his awesome one liners with his big attacks means business. There are times when he is the absolute villain and the unexpected hero, but he always lacks that scene where he was being built towards his own moment and not fail.

An example of this is when he was about to defeat Frieza but then again, Goku get all the glory from him. In the Tournament of Power, his greatest moments were always shared by someone, whether it be with Goku or with Master Roshi. The thing is, he is always trying to beat someone but always fails. The only time he successfully beat…..
