Dragon Ball FighterZ is the next generation Dragon Ball game to enter the franchise and be its own separate IP (intellectual property). Apart from the Xenoverse 2 series, Dragon Ball FighterZ is a 2.5D (dimensional) fighting game. The very first of its kind for the Dragon Ball franchise, FighterZ will also have characters from the Dragon Ball Super anime. With the release of this game coming soon, there will be an open beta before so that players can test it one last time before official launch. There was already a closed beta that a certain amount of players were able to access and give feedback. The open beta will include characters form the closed beta and more. However today we are going to be discussing all the characters that have been confirmed for the game Dragon Ball FighterZ so far!
To begin with, Dragon Ball FighterZ is being created and developed by Bandai Namco Entertainment and Arc System Works. The game’s goal is to be the most authentic Dragon Ball fighting game to hit the market. And we can see the authenticity by how similar the graphics are to the Dragon Ball manga by Akira Toriyama. SO far, a total of 22 characters have been confirmed for the game. Characters ranging from Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Super will be included in this game.
Those 22 characters are Super Saiyan Blue Goku (if you preorder), Goku, Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta (if you preorder), Vegeta, Goku Black, Beerus, Hit, Kid Buu, Gotenks, Future Trunks, Captain Ginyu, Cell, Android 16, Android 18, Frieza, Teen Gohan, Majin Buu, Krillin, Nappa, Piccolo, Tien, and Yamcha. And possibly a 23rd character, Android 21 (which we have only seen in story mode so far so we cannot confirm her as playable yet).
And even though we have confirmed 22 characters, there will be even more characters available when the official launch of Dragon Ball FighterZ comes out. The Dragon Ball FighterZ open beta is available to everyone everywhere on January 14th, 2018. However for those who pre-ordered the game, they will have access to it form January 13th. So pre-order owners will have one day early access to the beta. When more information about the beta is released we will report to you here! Thanks for reading and we will see you all in another article shortly!
