Dragon Ball fans have been waiting for a confirmation on the return of the series, and in this post, I’ll be discussing all that we know about the return of the show with you guys. Back in March of this year, it was announced that Dragon Ball Super was coming to an end. The show was incredibly successful, so for it to come to such an abrupt end was surprising for everyone.
However, problems caused due to time management and an overworking staff caused the show to conclude, and since then we’ve been waiting for the show to return. So, is it going to happen? Will Dragon Ball Super return? The simple answer would be yes. Dragon Ball Super is getting a sequel called Dragon Ball Super: Broly, which is set to premiere in December 2018. The movie will be a direct sequel to the show, but things won’t conclude there.
Dragon Ball Super Season 2 Release Date
The TV anime looks like it’ll be returning as well. Dragon Ball Super does have a panel at this year’s Jump Festa, which will be held on December 22. Since the movie will have aired at that point already, it won’t be related to it in any way. For the series to have a panel at Jump Festa after the premiere of the movie means only one thing, and that is the continuation of Dragon Ball Super.
Whether it will be in the form of a TV anime or yet another movie remains to be seen though. However, for it to be a movie, they definitely wouldn’t have announced it so early. So I’m pretty sure that at Jump Festa 2019 (held in December 2018), Dragon Ball Super’s TV anime continuation will be announced.
As far as a release date goes, we don’t have one. But I think the show will be out in June or July 2019. I would like an April 2019 release, but they probably wouldn’t want to overwork themselves, and they know that it would result in the same problems that Super had before. I think they’ll take their time with this, and in my opinion, Dragon Ball Super will return in July 2019.
