Hey everyone! It seems we’re getting more and more details on the movie as we get closer to the Japan premiere. We’re just ten days away now, and I know you’re all just as excited as me. Some of you may be able to watch the movie online, but you may have to sacrifice a lot of quality in the process.
Dragon Ball Super: Broly New Footage
Yesterday, we got a look at a completely new clip from the movie. It seems that this is yet another promotional content for the movie, but I like this small 7-second clip a lot more than I thought I would. Also, remember! Don’t go ahead if you’re trying to avoid the spoilers for the movie. However, if you don’t mind being spoiled, we can so ahead. If you haven’t checked it out yet, do so here:
As you can see, the small clip looks very nice and pleasing to the eyes. The most important thing to take away from here is Yuya Takahashi being on-model here. Takahashi has recently taken some form of criticism for his work on the movie because he was straying way too off the model sheets, and that made the Shintani designs useless.
Also, other animators like Onishi, who stuck to the sheets had their cuts right alongside Takahashi’s. So, it felt that there was no cohesion there. But, here, Yuya Takahashi has shown us that he too can stick to the sheets, and produce wonderful results. The shading isn’t too hard here, and it’s gorgeous to look at, overall.
Here’s a synopsis of the movie for those of you who are interested:
“Earth is peaceful again after the Tournament of Power. Realizing that the Universes still hold many stronger people yet to see, Goku spends all his days training to reach even greater heights. Then one day, Goku and Vegeta are faced by a Saiyan called “Broly”, who they’ve never seen before. This encounter between three Saiyans who have followed completely different destinies turns into a stupendous battle, with even Freeza getting caught up in the mix!”
