Domestic Girlfriend TV Anime Reveals Cast, First Promo Video

Kei Sasuga’s Domestic Girlfriend is getting an anime adaptation, and the announcement was made quite some time ago. The official website for the series released some news about the show. The website streamed the first promotional video on Friday. The video also showcases Minami’s opening theme song “Kawaki wo Ameku.” Arisa Takigawa is performing the ending theme. The ending theme song is “Wagamama” (Selfish).

Adding to this, the site also revealed some more cast members for the series. Here is the cast of the series:

The anime is going to be premiere in January 2019. Previously, Amazon had announced that the series would be streamed in the Animeism block to over 200 countries around the world on its Amazon Prime Video service.

The series is being directed by Shōta Ihata (Girlish Number), and it is directed at diomedea. Tatsuya Takahashi (The IDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls, Eromanga Sensei, Katana Maidens: Toji no Miko) will take care of the scripts. Naomi Ide is drawing the character designs (Problem children are coming from another world, aren’t they?, Gingitsune, Kan Colle). Masato Kōda(KonoSuba – God’s blessing on this wonderful world!! both seasons and film) is overseeing the music composition.

Here is how the story for the anime is described—
“High schooler Natsuo is hopelessly in love with his cheerful and popular teacher, Hina. However, one day at a mixer, he meets a moody girl by the name of Rui and ends up sleeping with her. Soon after, his father announces that he’s getting remarried to a woman with two daughters of her own. And who shows up in tow, other than both Hina and Rui?! Natsuo’s outrageous new life starts now!”

Sasuga launched the ongoing series in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine in April 2014. Kodansha shipped the 20th volume on October 17. The manga has 3 million copies in print. Crunchyroll is also publishing chapters of the manga as they are released in Japan.
