Disney+ is soon bringing more Korean content to its streaming platform. The video-on-demand over-the-top streaming service has been in the market for almost two years. However, it is now prepping to expand its Korean content library. As per Disney+’s new statement on Thursday, it will add 12 new original Kdramas this year. Moreover, it will bring approximately 20 films and TV shows of the Korean language in 2022. The Kdrama global fandom is thrilled with the news since they have another source to stream upcoming and exciting Kdramas.
Korean dramas have acquired a massive audience across the globe with their distinct storylines, comfort, OSTs, and quality. The Hallyu Wave (Korean wave) now spans different borders, and many international streamers are curating Korean content libraries for the users. Disnet+ is joining the part and has released a few original Korean dramas on its platform.
On Thursday, The Walt Disney Company announced additional shows that will land on their streamer this year. Spanning various genres, these original releases will be available to users across APAC markets.
Disney+ Announces To Add 12 New Original Kdramas This Year
According to Disney+, the streamer will be adding new original Korean content this year for its APC market and users. The streamer is already home to the most-talked Kdrama of this year, Snowdrop, which starred Blackpink’s vocalist Jisoo and versatile actor Jung Hae In. Meanwhile, another drama, Rookie Cops, is currently being broadcast on Disney+. It’s time for Disney+ to expand its Korean library, and it looks like its team is getting the job done this 2022.
The 12 new pieces coming to Disney+ are already the most-talked-about shows. Below is the list of all the highly anticipated Kdramas releasing soon on Disney+.
The Zone: Endure To Survive
The Zone: Endure to Survive is a variety show by Disney+ for its audience. Variety shows are top-rated in the nation and have a massive fan following. The Zone: Endure To Survive will join the many popular Variety shows to entertain the audience.
The latest variety program comes with a horror tagline: Survive, no matter what.” The cast members will enter a virtual reality environment through a secret door for each task. Additionally, no matter what reality space they visit, they have to survive and endure the challenges.

It will tell the story of a third-rate lawyer who gets stuck in a bizarre situation after taking on a murder case. Big Mouth will track his journey to justice. Moreover, we will see Lee Jong Suk’s character evil-y plotting against the villain to defeat him.
Lee Jong Suk will play Park Chang Ho, a lawyer with almost no success rate in the community. Additionally, he speaks highly of himself and his activities but always fails to yield results. The next big Korean drama coming to Disney+ very soon is Soundtrack #1. The fans are highly anticipated for the Park Hyung Sik and Han So Hee starrer romantic drama due to its plot and cast members. Moreover, it will be a short drama with only four episodes under its name.
Seo Eun Soo (Han So Hee) and Han Sun Woo (Park Hyung Sik) have been best friends for over two decades. Crazy Love is a dark comedy and romance drama that will share the story of Noh Go Jin (Kim Jae Wook) and his assistant Lee Shin Ah (Krystal Jung). Noh Go Jin is the nation’s best mathematics tutor and CEO of GOSTOP Education. He has a strong aura and an egoistic personality, which sometimes makes him intolerable. However, one day, life takes a toll, and he learns that he will soon die.
