Disenchanted: Cast, Release Date, And Updates

Disney’s Enchanted which was released back in 2007 made an impression all around the globe with its music album and obviously the Disney plot. But the movie which starred Amy Adams, Patrick Dempsey and James Marsden made over $300 million and was nominated for Oscar thrice for its songs. And as we have seen with all other Disney movies, the sequel to the film is confirmed and is titled Disenchanted. The sequel is confirmed to be directed by Adam Shankman.

Disenchanted: Updates

The sequel has been in the news for a very long time. It was first in the news in 2010. The director tried to defend the delay and said that there were some big changes in Disney and they had to figure out the number of movies they will make in a year. Also, he said that they didn’t want to put into production something that they didn’t feel like to put into production yet.

However, sometime back in 2017, the filming had to start, but things didn’t go according to their plan. The script for the movie should have been completed by now, and that means filming would begin in 2019. So, don’t expect Disenchanted to hit the screens before 2020.

The cast for the movie should remain the same as Amy said that she didn’t want to let go of her character and would not allow anyone else to play it. Also, expect Patrick Dempsey, James Marsden, and Idina Menzel to return too! Julie Andrews can also be expected to returned for narration as well.

Also, it has been confirmed by the director that like the first movie, the sequel will be musical too! With more original music there’s a better sequel on the cards.
