Talking about Yuta getting plastic surgery done has been around for years. Many have conflicting opinions regarding whether or not he went under the knife at all. While some insist that there is no mistake he has, others have different reasons to support his change in appearance.
Nakamoto Yuta is a member of NCT who debuted in 2016. He gave up pursuing a career as a footballer to debut as an idol. As a part of both sub-units, NCT 127 and NCT U, he is a lead dancer, sub-vocalist, and the sub-rapper. Yuta is much loved by NCT fans for his dancing and unique style. He has an artsy vibe to him that many gush about. Content regarding him has often garnered lots of attention on social media sites like Twitter.
He was introduced to the public through SM Rookies, a team of trainees to become idols, under SM Entertainment in December of 2013. It is not an unknown fact that trainees are recommended plastic surgery by Entertainment companies sometimes before they debut. A lot of people believe that SM made Yuta undergo a procedure that made a noticeable difference in the way he looked.
Yuta was introduced as a part of SM Rookies in 2013. The following is the first look at him with fellow NCT member Jisung.
Before his debut, he appeared on a chat program called ‘Abnormal Summit’ in 2014. On this show, there is a panel of foreigners from different countries who are good at Korean, who discuss various issues affecting Koreans as well as other cultural topics. Many international fans loved what Yuta had to say on gender roles, among other things. He left his position as the Japanese representative on the show later to pay attention to debut preparations.
NCT 127 debuted with ‘Firetruck’ in July of 2016. Though there was already talk stirring up on social media about how his chin looked different, it wasn’t discussed vastly. Fans loved his colored hair and how he looked.
1st comeback with Limitless
It was when NCT 127 had their first comeback with song ‘Limitless’ that the discussion was not lowkey anymore. Many People, including fans, pointed out that it did seem like he had done something to his chin. This is the point where it started getting noticeable to a lot of people.
Cherry Bomb Era
From this point onwards, many fans started questioning if Yuta had gotten plastic surgery for his chin.
NCT was never unpopular, but they experienced a boom in popularity after the release of their second EP, Cherry Bomb. The title track of the same name was extremely loved, especially by international fans, and even got mentioned by Billboard as one of the best K-pop songs of that year. Thus, it comes as no surprise that many had been watching the group closely. For fans, it was most easy to notice the change. This discussion hasn’t died down since.
An article regarding this issue was posted on a blog website that is famous for translating posts that appear on Korean Forum sites like Instiz. As is the case with most posts, the comments were divided. While people said that the change was undeniable, many argued that he would not get a procedure that would protrude his chin further or that he doesn’t have the time for such a thing. Some even said that it was merely chin fillers since his face seems flat at times.
Fans also said that he had lost a lot of weight since his debut and the person pointing out all of this simply picked the wrong pictures or angles. Most people agreed that it was none of anyone’s concern. Fans believe that Yuta looks fine in person even if there does seem to be a slight change or did get plastic surgery done, and also that he looks handsome regardless.
