Date A Live III Anime Release Date Announced

Koushi Tachibana’s Date A Live light novel series has grown quite a lot in popularity. The official Twitter account revealed Date A Live III; the third television anime season will premiere on January 11. The anime will premiere on AT-Xon January 11 at 9:30 p.m. It will air later on Tokyo MX and KBS Kyoto. The series will also air on TV Aichi, Sun TV, TVQ Broadcasting Kyushu, and BS11. The anime will be streamed in Japan on AbemaTV, and other streaming services.

The anime will have a returning cast, and Ayumi Mano will be joining the cast as the “Seventh Spirit” Natsumi. The anime is being directed by Keitaro Motonaga at J.C. Staff (AIC PLUS+ and Production IMS produced the previous two series). Hideki Shirane is going to return to handle the series composition and Koji Watanabe (Watanabe was the key animator for the first two seasons) is designing the characters.

ARMS is going to perform the opening theme song of the show while as Eri Yamazaki will perform the ending theme song. Here is the synopsis of the show if you’re interested:

Ordinary high school boy Shido discovers a mysterious girl at ground zero of a recent spacequake. Shido learns, through his sister Kotori, that the girl is one of the Spirits: mystical creatures responsible for the spacequakes. Shido is recruited to help “seal” the sprits and end their threat to mankind. There’s just one catch: the only way to seal a spirit—is to make her fall in love with you.
