On Thursday, the 16th compiled book volume of FLIPFLOPs’ Darwin’s Game manga revealed that the manga would be getting an anime adaptation. The official website for anime has also been opened. A teaser visual and a promotional video for the same is out. The speculation for the manga getting an anime adaptation had begun in October. The November issue of Akita Shoten’s Bessatsu Shōnen Champion magazine revealed that the series has a “super important announcement” to make.
Darwin’s Game Manga Gets TV Anime
The manga is focused on Kaname Sudo, who is a high school student. Kaname is drawn to a mysterious game app which is titled, “Darein’s Game.” Suddenly, he finds himself in a social game where the stakes are very high. One wrong move could end in death.
The manga was launched by FLIPFLOPs in Bessatsu Shōnen Champion in December 2012. The 15th compiled book volume was published by Akita Shoten on August 8. Currently, the series has more than 2 million copies in print. FLIPFLOPs also launched the Nekogami Yaoyorozu comedy manga in Akita Shoten’s Champion RED Ichigo magazine. It was released in 2007, and it finished in 2012.
A total of six volumes for the series have been published. The manga also has an anime adaptation. It has 12 episodes which were released in 2011 and were titled, Cat God. The manga is really interesting, and it is different from the usual manga. It keeps the reader hooked, and it is certainly worth the time invested in it.
The expectation from the anime is high as well, and most people would be expecting to see the manga grow in popularity after the anime release. If you want to read something, then I would recommend reading Darwin’s Game.
