Thus, it even achieved the highest rating in each episode. However, a sweet little twist and happy ending for each character have made Dali and Cocky Prince end on a perfect touch!
Dali and Cocky Prince kdrama has concluded on a sweet note with 16 episodes. Each episode has given us a fresh, sugary, and heart-thumping story making our 16 hours enjoyable. However, some parts of the ending may not be liked by everyone, such as Tae Jin’s closing. While we expected that every character would get the finishing they deserve, Jang Tae Jin’s ending did not match our expectations. Apart from him, all the characters got their happy ending but not before playing with our hearts. They definitely had us in the first half of Episode 16, but the second half saved us. Dali and Cocky Prince ending has given lovely touch to the storyline, which is explained below.
Episode 15 of Dali and Cocky Prince exposes Jang Tae Jin’s real face! It was the moment every viewer was waiting for. Da Li’s character is purely innocent, gentle but, she is not dumb or completely naive to not differentiate good from the bad. And this quality of hers leads her to the conclusion. In Episode 15, Moo Hak reveals that his brother may be the one talking to Jang Tae Jin and also who sent that file. Even Won Tak expresses that Shi Hyung still wants to see only Jang Tae Jin. Furthermore, when they caught him, Shi Hyung was talking about Da Li’s father’s death. Hearing all of these, Da Li put together all the missing puzzles, completing the picture that holds harsh yet heart-wrenching truth.
To confirm her doubt, Da Li visits the detention center where Shi Hyung is locked up. Without beating, she straightforwardly asks him whether he killed his father or Jang Tae Jin did. Hearing her cold voice and understanding, she must have learned the truth. Shi Hyung admits what happened on that night. It turns out Da Li’s father was going to turn Shi Hyung in after finding his drugs. However, Tae Jin meddled, stating it would leave a huge strain on Cheongsong’s name. They would have to close the art gallery if the truth goes out about Cheongsong’s elder son consuming and smuggling drugs as well as the art pieces. Her father could not stand the truth and got a heart attack. He even asked for his medicine. Shi Hyung ran to get them but, Tae Jin once again intervened, reminding him of the consequences if he lived.
Therefore, without looking back, Shi Hyung ran away. But Tae Jin just stood there, looking at her father taking his last breath. If he had given him the medicine, he would have lived. However, his greed turned him into a monster without any feeling.
"everything i said to you were my sincerity. i didn't lie about my feeling."
However, it is not Da Li who exposed Tae Jin’s facade but Jin Ki Chul, Moo Hak’s stepbrother. To revenge for hurting his brother, Ki Chul reveals the video recording copy of that night to the world. However, Dali and Cocky Prince ending does not show Tae Jin’s full punishment. It only reveals how Da Li feels disgusted by him. All media and reporters question him but, he does not even utter a word. The kdrama gives an open ending for Tae Jin. Of course, he receives his punishment but, it is up to viewers to decide what kind of punishment it will be.
Moo Hak Gets Injured
Dali and Cocky Prince ending reveal Ki Chul’s crucial role. After learning his brother may be making a deal with Jang Tae Jin, Moo Hak asks his secretary to follow him. Ki Chul blackmails Jang Tae Jin, who is left with no choice, agrees to meet him. The two exchange the green belt contract with the video recording file. Tae Jin wants to cut off ties but, Ki Chul does not give in. Eventually, Tae Jin orders his men to finish him off. Therefore, in the basement parking, Tae Jin’s men attack him. Thankfully, Moo Hak appears at the right time and saves him. While fighting with the gang members, he gets stabbed. And because of that, he loses so much blood, leading him into a critical condition. Ki Chul and Won Tak, who has been after the gang members, take him to the hospital. It explains Moo Hak has to undergo emergency surgery due to excess blood loss. Thankfully, the surgery goes well!
Moo Hak’s emergency surgery shakes his whole family, especially his father. Therefore, the ending of Dali and Cocky Prince reveals Moo Hak’s father’s strong denial of his and Da Li’s relationship. Da Li runs to the hospital as soon as she hears about Moo Hak’s accident. However, seeing Da Li, Moo Hak’s father loses his cool and ends up blaming her. He even orders her to cut off her ties with Moo Hak and leave him alone since all of this happened because of Jang Tae Jin but, the root problem is her. Initially, Da Li refuses to budge but eventually leaves, seeing his father’s hatred.
However, when Da Li learns she can meet Moo Hak, she rushes to the hospital but not before encountering Tae Jin. Tae Jin visits Cheongsong Gallery to meet Da Li and clear his side of the story. Da Li seems clearly amused yet disgusted by his shameless action, who named it love. Ending their last thread, Da Li hurries to meet Moo Hak. After seeing Moo Hak, Da Li runs into his arms, making him promise never to get hurt. The lovebirds finally spend the night together, basking in each other’s warmth! When Da Li comes out of his room, she once again meets Moo Hak’s father. His father confronts her and even begs her to never come close to his son. Thus, Dali and Cocky Prince ending shows his father urging her to break up with Moo Hak!
After One Year, Here We Are
Episode 16 of Dali and Cocky Prince takes a one-year jump after Moo Hak’s father asks Da Li to break up with Moo Hak. It reveals his father has been staying with him, leaving Ki Chul and his mother. Even though his father wants to forgive her and Ki Chul, he can’t forget what their scheming has resulted in. Eventually, Moo Hak makes him realize and tells him to forgive them since it was not their fault he got hurt. Therefore, his father runs to Geum Ja (his wife) and Ki Chul and thus gets back with them, presenting a happy ending for Jin’s family.
Meanwhile, Moo Hak continues his days without Da Li’s presence. Dali and Cocky Prince ending reveal that Cheongsong Gallery gets back on track and grows out of its bankrupt state. Chak Hee moves in Moo Hak’s rooftop room and even begins to work at Cheongsong Gallery. While everyone discusses their upcoming exhibit, Da Li enters, surprising them with her sudden return. It turns out Da Li was on a business trip to the Netherlands. They decide to go for an office lunch which turns out to be Moo Hak’s restaurant. The lovers meet at the restaurant but completely ignores each other. Later that night, Da Li stays with Na Gong Joo. It shows Da Li and Gong Joo have become best friends! And Da Li is teaching her curator work. Their adorable friendship at the ending has given another sweet touch to Dali and Cocky Prince kdrama. It is a little sad they did not become friends early.
After seeing Da Li has returned but did not contact him, Moo Hak boils in anger. To get his answer, he visits Cheogsong the very next day and disturbs their meeting. When Da Li coldly asks for his interruption, Moo Hak orders her to pay off his debt which she has already with all pennies of interest. Seeing he does not stand a chance, he inquires about the watch he had given her during their first meeting. She immediately returns it to him since she was wearing it. After meeting, the two confront each other where Moo Hak furiously questions her how she could leave him and does not even contact him for a whole week! Yes, a WEEK and not a year!
It reveals that Da Li did not budge even after Moo Hak’s father orders her to break up. On the contrary, she makes him realize that she loves him and he loves her. Thus, there is no way she will leave him or break up with him asking to give their beautiful love a chance. It explains the writer played with our hearts at Dali and Cocky Prince kdrama ending, showing us as if they broke up and parted ways for a year. But the reality turns out something else. Da Li cancels their couple trip and goes to the Netherlands due to an emergency business trip. Therefore, Moo Hak has been sulking adorably.
