Chicago Med Season 7 Episode 22 Recap

This episode begins with Milena leaving town because she must be aware that her cover has been blown. Jo had a long-held suspicion that a corrupt cop was involved with the Serbians. She even began gathering evidence on the subject. She’s discovered money or drugs missing after a police raid. She was confident that the dirty cop was involved. But she couldn’t stay in town long enough to conduct her investigation. She must depart. She must leave immediately. She told her boyfriend where she was going and gave him all of the evidence she had gathered about the dirty cop’s actions. She wished for him to deliver the proof to his father.

Scott’s father worked as a good cop. Or so Scott thought, and he vouched for his father, which was enough for Jo. She surrendered the evidence. She instructed Scott to deliver it to his father, which he intended to do. He had to first finish his shift at the hospital, and unfortunately, his first patient of the day took up most of his time. Donna was his patient. Due to her alcoholism, Donna was a frequent visitor to the hospital. She drinks and then has mishaps. Donna has been approached. They’ve told her she needs help with her drinking, but she ignores everything. She adores alcohol more than anything else.

Chicago Med Season 7 Episode 22 Finale Recap

There was a lot of ruckus in this episode with an alcoholic patient

Donna

Nobody could persuade Donna otherwise. She was so drunk that she didn’t realize Scott had informed her that she had end-of-life liver failure (due to the drinking) and that her kidneys were also shutting down. Donna instructed them to apply a bandage to the wound. Maggie then told her how she was dying. The doctors and nurses attempted to help her. They couldn’t reach her, so they summoned Dr. Charles. Their resident therapist was the best person to convey to Donna that she was dying. Dr. Charles spoke with Donna. He was able to determine that she had brain damage due to years of abusing her body with alcohol. The doctors talked to her about surgery and eventually got her to agree to it. Scott dialed her emergency contact number, and her daughter arrived at the hospital.

Saying Goodbye

Before leaving, the daughter stayed long enough to yell at her unconscious mother for all the years of abuse. Donna was an awful mother. Her drinking was always harmful, and it has now killed her. She has only herself to blame. Zach was another problematic patient. Zach was a teenager who injured himself while participating in some sport, and now he’s upset because he’ll miss the rest of the season.

Happy Endings

Donna’s daughter returned to the hospital to be by her mother’s bedside. Her mother mistreated her, but the young woman still adores her. Zach realized his father loved him. He apologized for his behavior, and his father enrolled him in a summer camp where many children were recruited. Zach was delighted with the news and eager to return home to his father’s. Dr. Taylor met her biological father in another parental story. He was relieved to learn she was going to a good home and told her to call him Grant. So there was another happy ending, and it wouldn’t be the last.

Conclusions

Because their elevator broke down, Goodwin’s daughter had to give birth in a restaurant. Goodwin delivered the baby, who was a healthy boy. In addition, someone set fire to Halstead’s apartment building. It was a brand-new structure. Asher and Jo were the only ones who remained. And then someone tried to shoot Jo, so Scott had to hit the other guy to save her life.

But Jo bolted. Scott attempted to take the injured man to safety, but he and Halstead became trapped inside the building. Halstead had only come to see Asher. They got along with a patient they worked on together, so they decided to be friends when the fire happened, if not more. And who knows if any of those trapped inside will make it out alive?
