After announcing the news of BTS members RM and Jin getting diagnosed with COVID-19, BigHit shared other details regarding the member’s health.
RM, who returned to the country on December 17, tested negative after the immediate PCR testing. He underwent self-quarantine protocols and was spending time alone. However, the BTS leader had taken a PCR testing today to resume his activities. Unfortunately, he tested positive. Luckily, he is asymptomatic and will practice self-treatment at home.
As for Jin, he returned to Korea on December 6 and tested negative during the immediate PCR testing. The eldest of the group underwent self-quarantine as per the safety protocols. After his quarantine period, he got tested again and was found negative. Sadly, Jin started to have flu-like symptoms, called a PCR testing today, and was found positive for COVID-19. The vocalist has mild symptoms, including light fever at the moment. Like RM, JIn is undergoing treatment at home.
Both RM and Jin received their second doses of vaccination in August. Neither of them had any contact with the other members of the band.
BigHit will focus on getting RM, Jin, and Suga to get well soon before engaging in other activities. Their artists’ health is their priority, the statement read, in the end.
