The OST from BTS’s webtoon has gained another victory recently. “Stay Alive” is now the first Korean OST to enter UK’s official singles chart, making history. Produced by Suga and sung by Jungkook, Stay Alive has officially made K-pop history in the UK.
On February 11, Jungkook dropped a new song, “Stay Alive,” produced by fellow BTS member Suga for BTS’s original webtoon and web novel, “7 FATES: CHAKHO.” In one week, the song managed to enter multiple music charts all over the world. Moreover, Stay Alive entered multiple United Kingdom’s official charts (equal to the U.S. Billboard).
Fans and BTS Army were already overwhelmed with the song. However, they are happier to see BTS members Jungkook and Suga receiving love from all over the world with Stay Alive’s success.
Stay Alive By BTS Jungkook and Suga Becomes 1st Korean OST To Enter UK’s Single Charts
Many congratulations to BTS members Jungkook and Suga as their latest track, “Stay Alive,” becomes the first Korean OST to enter UK’s single charts. The song debuted at 89th position, making history. Furthermore, the song also acquired the 5th spot on both the Official Singles Sales Chart and the Official Singles Downloads Chart.
Since its release, “Stay Alive” has been the ‘IT’ song on all music charts. It went on number 1 in 98 different regions on iTunes Top Songs charts in mere 24 hours. Also, it conquered the eight biggest music markets on the globe with its No.1 spot. The song has earned the No.1 spot in 104 countries since its debut if we were to calculate the statistics.
Moving ahead from iTunes, “Stay Alive” also made the record of the biggest Spotify debut of a song by any Korean soloist. After its release, the song garnered No. 3 position at Spotify’s daily Global Top 50 chart.
It looks like “Stay Alive” will not stop any time soon. Hence, we are looking forward to seeing BTS and its members make more records.
