Brooklyn 99 Season 6 Release Date, Cast, Updates

What a year for Brooklyn 99! Earlier in May of 2018, the show was canceled by Fox only to be renewed a day after the cancellation. Audiences love the comedy show and soon after its cancellation, the internet was taken by a storm. Fans demanded that the show be brought back, and that’s exactly what happened. To resurrect the show was none other than Universal TV’s sister network NBC. NBC stepped up, played the hero and saved the day. For fans of Brooklyn 99 they couldn’t be happier since we’re told Andy Samberg (the lead) grew up watching NBC!

“Ever since we sold this show to Fox I’ve regretted letting it get away, and it’s high time it came back to its rightful home,” said NBC Entertainment’s Chairman Robert Greenblatt.
“Mike Schur, Dan Goor, and Andy Samberg grew up on NBC and we’re all thrilled that one of the smartest, funniest, and best cast comedies in a long time will take its place in our comedy line-up.”

Brooklyn 99 Season 6: Release Date

After the show was picked up by NBC for a 6th run, it was confirmed by the Network that Brooklyn 99 wouldn’t be available in 2018 at any cost. NBC has outrightly asked us to be prepared for an early 2019 release of Brooklyn 99. NBC gave no specific information but reports suggest that Brooklyn 99 might take the slot of Michael Schur’s The Good Place. Guess we’ll just have to see how that pans out. For fans of Brooklyn 99 who live in the United Kingdom, it should be mentioned that E4 will still air the series. Obviously, UK will get the series a couple of months after NBC airs it in the United States of America.
