Boruto: Naruto Next Generations is still just halfway through the Mitsuki arc, and for now, the arc is showing no signs of ending. I thought that we were getting close to the finale of the arc but seeing the spoilers for the next few episodes, I don’t think that’s the case. The arc is going to go on for at least 6-7 more episodes, and I think that it may end in December, or maybe in January.
Frustrating as it is, I think the finale of this arc will be great. I don’t have many issues with it. I just think that the Mitsuki arc struggles with pacing, and the fact that they’re actually close to the manga is what’s making the anime suffer. Still, I’d prefer shorter arcs but let’s see where they take us with this one. So let’s discuss Boruto Episode 81, as it is about to air within the next few days now. Be warned though; this post does contain a lot of spoilers. If you don’t want to be spoiled, I suggest you stop reading the post here.
With that out of the way, we can get started. Boruto Episode 81 will pick up right from where Episode 79 left off with Boruto Uzumaki. We know that Boruto has been knocked out. Mitsuki dealt a huge blow to Boruto which shocked everyone. Boruto will see Garaga inside of his dream, and I’m guessing Garaga will lecture him on betrayal. Boruto lost his bet to Garaga, so he gets to eat him. But, Boruto Uzumaki isn’t done yet.
He’ll still try to convince Mitsuki to return, and Garaga will have to wait until then. As Boruto wakes up, they’ll have to go to Iwagakure and try to talk to Onoki for some reason. However, they won’t make it to Iwagakure in Boruto Episode 81, and as I said, it’ll be dragged on to Boruto Episode 82.
