Hey everyone! In today’s post, I’ll be talking about Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Episode 65. Before I begin, I want to let you all know that this post contains spoilers from Boruto: Naruto Next Generations’ Chūnin Exams arc. If you have read the manga or watched the movie at least, I suggest you do not continue. However, if spoilers don’t really bother you, then let’s get started.
Boruto Episode 65 Delayed
So as you all know, Boruto Episode 63 aired last week, and we’re getting Boruto Episode 64 this week. As Boruto, Sasuke and the Kage make their journey to save Naruto Uzumaki, we get to see a full-on assault on the Otsutsuki Clan. Everyone except for Boruto Uzumaki and Naruto Uzumaki will be fighting the Otsutsuki in the next episode. As the rest are fighting, Naruto and Boruto will finally bond properly.
This whole arc was a set up for this exact moment and it looks like it is finally going to happen now. Naruto and Boruto will set their differences aside and join the fight by the end of Boruto Episode 64.
We would’ve gotten the finale of Boruto’s Chūnin Exams arc on July 12, but that’s not going to happen anymore as Boruto Episode 65 has been delayed. That’s right. The Boruto anime is taking yet another break, this time because of a Pokémon movie countdown. It seems July 12’s episode will now air on July 19 and that means we’re getting just 3 Boruto episodes this month as well, just like the last month.
The arc will be over within the next 3 episodes, so you can expect the start of a new arc in Boruto Episode 67, which will be airing in August’s first week. While this break does mean we will have to wait longer, it also ensures that the gap between the anime and the manga stays put. As of now, the Boruto anime is adapting nearly half a chapter per episode. Since the manga comes out only once a month and has just 41 pages, the anime will catch up in no time.
Because of that, I’m a little relieved about the break. But I don’t know how they’ll handle the anime once it starts getting closer to the manga. Will the add more fillers, or will they go ahead of the manga like Dragon Ball Super remains to be seen? I’m really excited about the future of Boruto, yet scared at the same time. Let’s hope it doesn’t disappoint.
