Created by Salim Akil and on television since January 2018, Black Lightning is your quintessential superhero drama series. Jefferson Pierce is the Principal of Garfield High School in the small city of Freeland in Georgia. He stopped adorning the hat of Black Lightning almost nine years back. But he had to come back after what happened to his former wife and daughters. The criminal gang called The 100, led by Tobias Whale was taking over the city of Freeland. Pierce’s daughters – Anissa and Jennifer are held captive by certain members of this gang. This marks the return of the Black Lightning.
Over the last 3 seasons, there have been several developments in the plot of the series. In the first season, we see Anissa and Jennifer beginning to develop powers of their own after the kidnapping incident. Meanwhile, Jennifer’s boyfriend is manipulated and brainwashed to join Tobias Whale in his despicable activities. The second season starts with Jennifer developing her powers in order to be able to decipher the contents of a briefcase that belongs to Tobias. After her boyfriend passes away, Jennifer becomes The Lightning to help her father out. Tobias finds certain contents of his briefcase translated. This causes him to gain control of the Masters of Disaster. But Jennifer and her father defeat him. Odell reveals to Jefferson that their identities are no longer a secret. The third season of the series brings back a number of the older characters as metahumans.
Black Lightning Season 4 Episode 8: What To Expect?
Black Lightning Season 4 Episode 8 is called ‘The Book of Ruin: Chapter Three’. In this episode, viewers will return to where it all started – Freeland, Georgia. Since Season 4 will mark the end of the show with episode 8 slowing leading to the beginning of this end, we will see relationships between the characters getting more intense. The conflicts between Jefferson Pierce and Tobias Whale will also escalate. We will also get to see how Khalil’s story finally ends and whether the Painkiller targets Jennifer next. We already know that Jennifer has changed her appearance. Her new look could help her hide better from the Painkiller and stall him until she is ready to take him down once and for all.

Black Lightning Season 4 Episode 7: What To Expect?
If you missed Black Lightning Season 4 Episode 7, we have got you covered. The seventh episode of Black Lightning Season 4 was titled ‘Painkiller’. It starts with Anissa and Grace arriving at Akashic City for their honeymoon. They visit a club here to let their hair down but their leisure is short-lived as a man drags Grace away while the Painkiller attacks Anissa. Khalil is the one who defeats Painkiller to save Anissa. Khalil then proceeds to look for Grace. Khalil finds an unconscious Grace here. She is being guarded by Maya, whose men actually captured Grace in the first place.
When Khalil arrives at the hideout, he finds a room where people’s brains are linked to computers. He concludes that he can use one of these devices to break himself free of the Painkiller. Meanwhile, the Painkiller also finds Grace’s location. He decided to work with Khalil and save her. Meanwhile, Maya sets the building on self-destruct mode and leaves. Grace transforms into her Wylde form and escapes the building without so much as a single scratch. Khalil also leaves the building. He requests Anissa to not tell Jennifer anything about him as that mind ends her endangering her life with the Painkiller. The episode ends with Painkiller declaring that he wants to kill all the members of the Pierce family.
