With the Week of March 19, 2022, coming to an end soon, Billboard has published its World Albums chart one again. It’s been a while since many k-pop idols have been topping the charts. And just like every time, the most expected artists are on the top once again. There haven’t been any new additions in the chart from the k-pop side. But the ones who already are there are holding their position strong.
Without any doubt, artists from ‘The Big Four,’ i.e., HYBE, SM Entertainment, JYP Entertainment, and YG Entertainment, are keeping themselves high up on the world charts. Nothing much has changed among the artists on the chart other than a few positions. Just like the week before, BTS, Blackpink, Twic, ENHYPEN, and NCT are on the world chart, topping the ranks for weeks. Meanwhile, ITZY became the new entry in the top 15 of Billboard World Albums Chart.
It’s BTS All The Way!!!!
Just like every other time, BTS has been topping Billboards Charts for a long time now. It just feels like their albums have been racing with each other on the charts as they set a new milestone every week. Looking at this week, the seven-member boy group has landed a total of six albums in the top 15 this week. The 2020 album “BE” is holding tight on the no. 3 spot and is currently in its 68th week on the chart. “Map of the Soul: 7” is not behind either as it is holding its spot no. 4.
While “Map of the Soul: Persona” is on no. 5, the 2017 album “Love Yourself: Her” is on No. 7. Followed by “Love Yourself: Tear” at spot No. 8 and “Love Yourself: Answer” being at spot No. 15. Being a prominent name in the music industry all over the world now, BTS has earned the title of Billboard’s Greatest Pop Star of 2021, bagging the sixth rank. And they even became the first act after The Beatles to have over six singles at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

YG Entertainment’s precious girl group Blackpink is on the Billboard World Albums chart for this week. BLACKPINK’s 2020 studio album “THE ALBUM” is currently serving its 75th week on the chart. Currently back on the No. 9 position, it won’t take long for the album to reach the Top 5. While the blinks are manifesting a comeback, the solos songs of the girls are the only hope they have left.
NCT’s Units Continues Its Stay
