Azure Striker Gunvolt, which also goes by the name Armed Blue: Gunvolt is a 2D action-platform game that is a creation of Inti Creates and was released in August of 2014. The game was specifically made for Nintendo 3DS. The game was also made for Microsoft Windows via ports in the year 2015 and further for Nintendo Switch in the year 2017. The game was also made available for Play station 4 in 2020. The gameplay the game posses are similar to that of Mega Man Zero. Azure Striker Gunvolt refreshed players with some new elements, such as the ability of Gunvolt for multiple enemy tagging, which add additional elements and made the game more complex.
Then there was another game introduced named Mighty Gunvolt, which is a spin-off and was launched on a similar day as Azure Striker Gunvolt. In 2017 this spinoff then had featured a sequel named Mighty Gunvolt Burst. Azure has two more sequels in 2016 and 2019 named Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 and Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX, respectively. According to a recent announcement, a confirmation for another sequel, namely Gunvolt Chronicles Luminous Avenger iX 2, is all set. Another sequel named Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 has also been announced, according to some reports.

How was the Development of Azure Striker Gunvolt?
Azure Striker Gunvolt is a creation and development of a very reputed company Inti Creates, which is Japan-based and some of its creations include the Mega Man Zero series, Mega Man ZX, Mega Man 9, and Mega Man 10. The sequel game named Mighty Gunvolt was available for free for those who purchased the game at its initial release. An update for the game was released by Inti Creates on March 5, 2015, and was available in the Nintendo eShop. This update was very necessary for the overall fixation of the game, such as dialogues, glitches, and the transferring of saved data from a demo to a full purchased version. The update was also responsible for providing updated content.
In August of 2015, a Microsoft Windows version was released. Further on September 30, 2016, in Japan and 4 October 2016 in North America, there was also the release of Azure Striker Gunvolt: Striker Pack, which incorporated two games, Azure Striker Gunvolt and the sequel Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 was released. These games were published by Yacht Club Games. This same pack was released in August of 2017 and 23 April 2020 for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4. Then an update was also released that fixed some issues related to the game, such as voiceover addition and incorporation of translation in a newer form.

When is the Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 release date?
Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 is all set to launch in the year 2022. The Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 gameplay was stated good after the update message from Keiji Inafune and Hiroki Miyazawa. The gameplay was classic side-scrolling action-oriented, featuring at in pixel form. The franchise that created the game has made it mark and stand out as unique for its forte. They have discarded and shrugged all the claims that the game has similarities to their previous games like Mega Man Zero and ZX. They said that there are players that may enjoy Mega Man Zero but did not like Gunvolt that much.
According to reports, an expo was held in Japan where the Japanese company responsible for the creation of the game namely, Inti Creates, and the company released a game trailer for Azure Striker Gunvolt 3, which is for Nintendo Switch. There was also a message by Keiji Inafune, who is the action supervisor / executive producer / Comcept CEO, regarding the development update. Inafune has been behind the creation of Mighty No. 9 and was also a producer for the Mega Man franchise for Cpacom previously. Inafune has been on the development team for quite some time and is working with Yoshihisa Tsuda, who is Inti Creates series director, and also with Hiroki Miyazawa, who is a new addition working as action director previously was director of the Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon series.

What was the Reception of Azure Striker Gunvolt And Is there any Anime Adaptation?
Azure Striker Gunvolt the game has had a lot of appraisals and has been certified a very good game. The game sold over 90,000 units in just six months and was one of the critically acclaimed games. The game selling point was the magnificent art and its very unique gameplay. The game also received some backlash from some gamers and fans, the gameplay and plot were quite similar to the hit game series Mega Man. It was announced in later stages that Inti Creates had sold about 100,000 units of Azure Striker Gunvolt in March of 2015. By 2016 the game had sold about 150,000 units in the paces it was released. It was announced that the game was getting a sequel on April 26 in 2016. The creator sold about 160,000 units by May 2016 worldwide. The sales for the Azure Striker Gunvolt take a giant peak by having exceeding about 180,000 downloads in 2017.
There was also announced at the Anime Expo 2016, which was held in Los Angeles, California, by Inti Creates of an anime being released that was based on the video game plot. The series was a direction and under production Yoshinori Odaka. The animation for the anime was done by LandQ Studios, and the scriptwriting was done by Shigeru Murakoshi. Masakazu Sunagawa was the character designer. The anime series was set to release in the year 2016, but there was some delay and was released the next year is in 2017. The anime was released on the Nintendo eShop worldwide on 9 February 2017, and there was the availability of English dubbing.
