The August Boy Group Brand Reputation rankings are here. Just like every month, The Korean Business Research Institute has dropped the exclusive list. After an in-depth study of keywords and data collected online, the institute prepares a list. Moreover, the positions/rankings are given after analyzing consumer participation, media coverage, interaction, and community indexes. The data collected ranges from July 14 to August 14. Like comebacks, new tracks, and MVs, fans also wait for these monthly lists to see who is ruling the charts and hearts. So, who is topping the August Boy Group Brand Reputation currently?
It’s good news for all BTS Army as the group is in the #1 position for the 39th consecutive week. After releasing multiple mega-hits and online performances, BTS had to be on the top. Following them are SM’s top male idol group, EXO. Furthermore, on #3, we have SEVENTEEN, followed by NCT and ASTRO.
This month, some new male groups have made it to the top 5. On the other hand, a few have lost the past reigning positions. Down below is the complete list:
August Boy Group Brand Reputation Rankings
The Korean Business Research Institute studied 53,689,277 pieces of boy groups to create a definitive list of the rankings. So, make sure to check out the complete list.
1. BTS (HYBE Labels)
BTS is topping the August Boy Group Brand Reputation Charts for the 39th consecutive week. For August, the septet had a whopping brand reputation index of 13,098,122; their media index stood at 3,754,741. The highest ranking-related terms included “long-running,” “prove,” and “advertise.” Meanwhile, High-ranking keyphrases related to BTS included keyword analysis included “Butter,” “Billboard,” and “ARMY.” BTS recently released Permission To Dance, which gained much love from the fans. Also, their song Butter is reigning on Billboard Top 10 for 13 weeks straight. Hence, we obviously expected the sensational popstars on the top.
2. EXO (SM Entertainment)
After quite some time, EXO made it to the top 5. The SM Entertainment boy group recently made a comeback as the members were on a hiatus due to military service. Their recent release, Don’t Fight The Feeling, has proven to be successful to the group. Thus, EXO rose to the #2 position in the August charts. EXO has a brand reputation index of 3,584,626 and the media index of 986,655. Moreover, their reputation index was increased by 20.97 percent since last month.
3. SEVENTEEN (PLEDIS Entertainment)
On the #3 stands SEVENTEEN, which stole hearts with their new music video and song, Ready To Love. The boy group proved themselves once again and continues to rule hearts even outside the nation’s border. Their brand reputation index for August is 2,916,572, and the media index is 1,083,880. 4. NCT (SM Entertainment)
The fourth place is acquired by SM’s other boy group, NCT. The group, which is further divided into four subunits, frequently drops the latest tracks and albums. As per the latest news, NCT 127 is all set to make a comeback. Plus, NCT is debuting another member from the west via their new survival program. This month, NCT’s brand reputation index is 2,522,776, and the media index is 679,884. Compared to last month, NCT has seen an increase of 2.14 percent.
5. ASTRO (Fantagio Entertainment)
ASTRO is back in the top 5 after a long period of time. But they are back with stronger numbers and more fans. With their latest release, “After Midnight,” the group is receiving love from all across the globe. In addition to this, the male group is also gearing up to release a new track, “Alive,” in September. They have a brand reputation index of 2,508,474 and a media index of 765,925. As compared with July, their brand reputation has increased by a whopping 72.63 percent.
