Attack On Titan Ending Previewed By The Author

Since its debut in Bessatsu Shonen Magazine on September 9, 2009, Attack On Titan has been one of the biggest manga series of its time. Almost a decade after its first chapter, it finally enters its final arc which is expected to end in more or less three years. Getting ahead of schedule, Hajime Isayama has shown what he has on mind for the ending of his beloved manga.

Attack On Titan Ending Panel Shared By The Manga Author

In a show called Jonetsu Tairiku which is aired recently, Attack On Titan author Hajime Isayama made an appearance and shared some of his work moments in the show. The MBS documentary surprised the viewers when at the end of the episode, Isayama shared the rough draft of the final panel of the manga. You can watch the video below if you haven’t seen it yet. However, take note that this video contains a major spoiler about the whole series itself, not only for a character. Proceed at your own risk.

Two people can be seen in the rough draft of the last panel. A child can be seen hugging a man, and both of their identities are vague as of the moment. As for the dialogue, the man says お前は自由だ or “omaewa jiyūda” which means “You are free.” A wild guess suggests that the child was Historia’s child and that the man might be someone from the Survey Corps. The Attack on Titan ending hints a lot of main character deaths.

Attack On Titan will also be having a Hollywood live-action adaptation by Warner Bros. David Heyman from Harry Potter, Masi Oka from Mega Man, and Barbara Muschietti from IT will be producing the film. Attack On Titan season 3 part 2 is also one thing to look forward to, as it will feature one of the most hardcore arcs in the series. It is set to be released in April 2019 and will feature the biggest fight of the Survey Corps yet.
