The overall plot of the story is set in a fictional land called, Arhdal in the ancient age. The main characters of the drama include Eun Seom, Tan Ya, Ta Gon, and Tae Al Ah. Eun Seom and his mother leave the land of Arthdal and set off to some other place since Eun Seom was born to bring disaster to the tribe. Along with his mother, he sets off to some distant land, yet he finds himself aloof from the others due to his origin. Tan Ya was born with a somewhat similar fate as Eun Seom and is the next-generation mother of her own tribe. After the appearance of Eun Seom, he hasn’t had any dreams and hasn’t yet even mastered the art of dancing of her very own tribe.
Ta Gon is, on the other a great war hero of Arthdal and aspires to become the first king of Arthdal. Tae Al Ha is the daughter of the head of the Hae tribe and has higher ambitions in life.
