Netflix has again made a comeback with an amazing American horror series “Archive 81” that has released a few days back. This series is doing wonders for Netflix as it has received a really great response. This series is based on a podcast with the same name. This time Netflix has again impressed all its audience by coming up with such a great horror series. From storyline to plot, cinematography to editing, everything is just more than perfect. Archive 81: Plot Sypnosis

This series started with Dan, who was an archivist for a museum. He was repairing some badly damaged tapes for a mysterious client. That client was Virgil Davenport, the CEO of LMG, and he had offered a really big amount to Dan for restoring those tapes. He shared that the tapes were from 1994 that got mysteriously burnt. Dan somehow agrees to restores the tapes.

He somehow restored all the videos from those burnt tapes. When he started checking out those videos, he noticed some really weird connection between him and Melody Pendras, the young grad student who was filming that tape. Those tapes unfolded Melody’s story. It opened 25 years ago when Melody shifted to the Visser building. She discovered her neighbors really strangely and got very tense when she heard some mysterious sounds in the building. After she saw a big gathering in the basement, she realized that most of her neighbors were in vogue.

She started to record all the mysterious events that she was coming in contact with. Somehow, she became convinced that all the neighbors had planned to sacrifice a 14-year-old kid, Jess, in order to complete their strange ritual. Dan was watching all the tapes, and while watching these tapes, he started feeling some negative energies in the remote facility where he was working on restoring tapes. After watching the tapes and fascinating Melody, Dan comes to the conclusion that he is somehow connected to the filmmaker. He confronted Virgil about everything, and it was finally revealed that Virgil’s brother was deeply involved in that vogue.

By the end of this series, the major question that might have remained in the minds of the audience is, where are Dan and Melody? Are they safe or in any danger? But somehow, neighbors captured her and took her to the basement. She witnessed the mysterious murder of that young Jess in front of her.

After that, the neighbors started chanting some words, and there opens a sudden doorway to another world. Samuel, the brother of Virgil Davenport, the CEO of LMG, took Melody into that gateway with her, and both disappeared. Dan saw all this through the tape. He then called one of his close friends and went to the basement of that Visser Building in order to do the same ritual in order to open that gateway. The same thing happens again, and he went into the gateway to save melody. Soon, he found Melody but Samuel abducted her to another world. Then, it was shown that Melody reached the same basement of the remote search facility.

Season 1 ended with Dan waking up in a hospital. When Dan asked the nurse how he reached the hospital, then the nurse informed him that he is the only survivor of the fire in the Visser building. He was very much surprised, and from seeing in the calendar, it was clear that he was in the year 1994. Overall, we can say that Dan was now stuck in the past time and the only way he has to come in the future is through that gateway only. Also, Melody was in the future where actually Dan has to be present. Now, it will be Melody’s duty to somehow save Dan and bring him back to the present time.
