During the last community day. There were thousands of trainers ready to catch the exclusive Pikachu that knew the move Surf. However, not many trainers were stocked up on the right materials they needed to get the most out of the event.
While Pinap berries will be a huge part of this next community event. Raspberries where actually more important during the Pikachu event. Not because Pikachu was hard to catch. But due to the increased shiny spawn rate Pikachu faced during that event.
Pikachu out of all the shiny Pokemon is one of the hardest to decipher in Pokemon GO. Using a Raspberry and Great ball on every Pikachu would have decreased your chances of the Pikachu running away on you.
With this being said, how can you prepare for the next community event? Well, because the next event involves not only a Pokemon that has 3 forms. It’s also still one of the strongest Pokemon in the game. Meaning candy is extremely important during this event. That way you can evolve and power up as many Dragonite as you can.
As far as Pokeball’s go, the best ones to save up on are the great and ultra balls. This is mostly because Dratini is somewhat hard to catch and while missing a few may not be a big deal during the event. It’s still nice to collect as many Dratini candies as you can.
Be on the lookout for a shiny Dratini. Out of all the Dratini you should evolve during this event would be the shiny forms if they are released. However, it’s heavily speculated that the shiny form of dratini would be released during this event. Keep in mind that once evolving a Pokemon with a legacy move. It will lose the move and be given new ones.
Though, don’t save every legacy move Dratini you catch. Keeping around 3 of them should be plenty and transferring the rest will give you more candies along with keeping your Pokemon storage freed up.

However, it does appear Niantic is changing them daily, or even weekly.
The Pokestops are Pokemon Go’s major features that are used in order to collect items which allows you to “progress” further into the game. When the game was first released. Trainers quickly realized the importance of these stops and request for more if their towns didn’t have plenty.
The loot table for these photospins did have a lot of items until generation 2 came out. Once that happened we saw new barries along with 5 evolution items used to evolve certain Pokemon in the game. Pokestops have been seen to favor items. Sometimes it would last for a day, sometimes it would last longer.
For all we know, Niantic is testing something pretty fun and interesting. Anyone who has played Trove or other games that hold these daily bonuses would know. In Trove, there are set days for certain bonuses. For example every Tuesday, there is a bonus for gathering materials.
This is a feature Niantic could add for Pokestops. Each day could be an increased bonus for certain items which we will go over shortly. Some may not like this, however, knowing that you have a good chance of collecting items you need would be motivating to get out and hit the stops. Continue Reading…
