Hello, there trainers this post is being done as a PSA for all the trainers who use an iPhone for playing Pokemon Go. If you are one of the people who use an iPhone to play the game, or know someone who does, share this post with them.
The latest iteration of Apple’s operating system for their iPhones called iOS 11 is known to be causing a ton of problems for Pokemon Go trainers. The operating system was launched alongside the latest set of iPhones. While the OS was under development in their public beta stages there have been known issues with the app, but all of these issues were forgiven as they were running on an OS that was still in development stage.
Now that iOS 11 has graduated from its beta stage, the Pokemon Go app should be working just fine right? Well technically it should be, but it is not. There have been reports of iPhones getting serious gameplay issues to the extent that the game completely freezes and avatar no longer moves.
Personally, my friends who use iPhones say that these problems have been plaguing them for quite some time, but hey they were beta testers too, so you can’t really say anything conclusive yet. There are a few tips that I can provide you with to help you face less of these issues.
Luckily enough, these app freezes and crashes are being reported only on some devices and not all of them. Some of these devices include older hardware like the iPhone 6 and 6S, along with the new iPhone SE and the latest one of the bunch the iPhone 8.
If you are facing these issues you can follow the following steps, and hope for the best these issues get sorted out as soon as possible.
First off, there was a newer version of iOS was launched shortly after these issues were acknowledged, try updating your OS first.
If that doesn’t work out then try uninstalling and reinstalling your game from the Apple App store again, please ensure you remember your password.
Force Close the game and try opening the game again. Double tap the home button and swipe away.
Make Free up space– Make free space by removing unwanted apps, Media file and other settings that optimize storage in iOS device automatically. To quickly remove data: Go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage [Reviews storage status and Enable optimization]
If all of this doesn’t work, ig you are pretty much in bad luck until either Niantic or Apple issues an update. Most likely the issue is from Apple’s side as the game seems to be working just fine on previous versions of iOS. But hey downgrading the OS is always a welcome option, if don’t want to miss out on the Equinox event that is going on right now.
New Mode Increases Chances Of Catching Trickier Pokemon
Pokemon GO is on its full pace excitement. Niantic is doing all that’s possible to keep players in game with EX raids and exclusive event. Pokemon GO gave away non-sponsored raid passes the other day which exited all the players.
For those that go all out for their Pokemon GO experience, learning new ways to play Pokemon go can make the hunt all the more enjoyable.
