Jiren is the most powerful mortal we have ever seen so far in the whole Dragon Ball series. Even Goku is not a match for him in his Super Saiyan states. Goku was owned even on his Super Saiyan Blue Kaioken x 20. This furthermore reinstates the idea that Jiren is actually that mortal that even a God of Destruction cannot defeat.
It seems like Jiren is the one that is on the rumors about a mortal that even a God of Destruction cannot defeat. It was confirmed in this episode that Jiren is in the God of Destruction level, even surpassing Belmod, the God of Destruction of Universe 11. If Jiren decided to challenge Beerus, even the God of Destruction in Universe 7 will have to use a large amount of his power.
Jiren’s achievement seems too much for a mortal, even in Goku’s caliber. This huge power can only be achieved by undergoing an intense training for mortals and even Gods under their Angels. Jiren’s power is so OP that he even reminds me of that gag character from another anime.
The God-like Ki and the perfect movements, this makes me think if Jiren is actually a mortal. It is possible that Jiren will be a God of Destruction candidate if here really want to. But what if he doesn’t really need to be a God of Destruction candidate? What if he is a former God of Destruction?
This theory can explain some unexplainable things that surround Jiren’s character. Perhaps, this is the reason why Jiren has this colossal Ki that seems impossible for a mortal to have. He does not surpass a God of Destruction because he is one before he stepped down and gave the seat to Belmod.
Why would he not want to be a God of Destruction? It is possible that Jiren does not enjoy destroying planets and the life alongside those planets. He prefers to protect the Universe 11 thus joining the Pride Troopers. That might also be the reason why Toppo is up for the God of Destruction position instead of him even though he has more power than the bearded Pride Trooper.
Jiren’s weakness has yet to be revealed, but right now, let’s just bask in the moment of pure uncertainty. A former God of Destruction or not, there will always be a way to make Jiren the Grey fall off the stage. What interests me is Quitella’s reaction in the earlier episode. Maybe the Universe 4 is already plotting something against him.
