We are entering the final stages of the Tournament of Power in Dragon Ball Super. And because of that, we are starting to learn more about the remaining fighter Jiren from Universe 11. In episode 127 of Dragon Ball Super, we got to see Jiren power up to the max for the first time. With his firey Ki looking very similar to the Ki that Goku unlocked against Beerus. When the Saiyan became a Super Saiyan God.
Now that we have seen the incredible power that Jiren has been hiding from us. The Universe 7 fighters can start to think of a weakness. However, Jiren has so far been able to easily knock around Goku, Vegeta, Frieza, and Android 17. Yet despite Jiren’s dominance, Android 17 was able to attack Jiren from behind, and inflict damage to the Pride Trooper for the first time ever. It seems as if Jiren has shown us his weakness. Which is very similar to Madara Uchiha from Naruto Shippuden.
We first learned about Madara Uchiha’s weakness when we got to see Madara and Hashirama Senju’s origins in Naruto Shippuden. As children, the two honed their skills and became friends. With Madara revealing his pet hate and only known weakness. This weakness was his inability to defend a sneak attack from behind, as his Sharingan couldn’t see what Marada couldn’t see. It also looks as if Jiren has this same weakness, as Android 17 showed us in episode 127 of Dragon Ball Super.
Android 17 inflicted damage to Jiren during a sneak attack. Which enraged him, as he probably despises the fact that he still has a weakness. This reaction was quite similar to how Madara acted every time someone approached or attacked him from the back. It’s fitting that the two have the same weakness. As Madara was arguably the strongest character to appear in Naruto Shippuden. While Jiren is arguably the strongest fighter in Dragon Ball Super.
