Fire Force is getting an anime of its own which is going to be produced at Davithe d Production (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Cells at Work!). It was announced that they would be producing the anime adaptation of Atsushi Ohkubo’s Fire Force manga. This is hardly surprising considering the support that the manga has received throughout the world.
Kodansha Comics publishes the manga in English. This is how they describe the story of Fire Force—
Fire Force Anime Adaptation
Terror has paralyzed the clockwork metropolis of Tokyo! It has been possessed by demons; people have begun to burst into flames. This has lead to the to the creation of a special firefighting team: the Fire Force. The Fire Force is ready to roll on a moment’s notice to fight spontaneous combustion anywhere it might break out. The team is about to get a unique addition: Shinra, a boy who possesses the unique power to run at the speed of a rocket, leaving behind the famous “devil’s footprints” (and destroying his shoes in the process). Can the Fire Force discover the source of this strange phenomenon and put a stop to it? Or will the city burn to ashes first?
Ohkubo launched the manga in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine back in September 2015. The manga’s 14th volume was published by Kodansha on August 17. The 15th volume will be shipped on Friday. Yen Press also released all the volumes of Soul Eater and the Soul Eater Not! spin off manga. Both manga inspired television anime series in 2008 and 2014, respectively, which were pretty popular.
Soul Eater is quite popular and unique so, I would recommend reading it. It provides top notch entertainment and it has a story that keeps you intrigued all the time. Fire Force is quite akin to that and the readers will be hoping that the anime will do the manga justice and it won’t end up like some horrible adaptions such as Tokyo Ghoul.
