Sam Griffith died at the age of 38(1996) due to alcoholism and drug usage. He got cirrhosis in the liver and other health problems. Sam committed many crimes in those 38 years. Andy married her in 1973, and the marriage lasted till 1981. Griffith got married again for the third time to Cindi Knight in 1983. Andy met Cindi on the set where he was shooting for his film Coweta County.
Griffith was born to an impotent family. His family could not afford a home because of which he had to find shelter under his relatives. He slept inside dresser/drawers for months before his family could afford a roof. Andy’s father got a job as a carpenter, after which they purchased a home in Mount Airy’s Blue Collar(South Side). In his whole childhood, he spent the time listening to music. When he joined the school, he was a shy student. But from the time he started making his friends laugh, he realized the talent beneath him. From that day onwards, Andy’s journey towards greatness had already begun.
