Takeshi Hinata, the creator of Ahiru no Sora, revealed that the manga had entered the final arc. Hinata also said that along with the manga there would be an anime. Back in February 2018, Anime studio, Diomedea announced in that a television anime series for the manga is in the works.
Keizou Kusakawa (Fuuka, Aho Girl, KanColle) is credited as chief director. The anime is being directed by Shingo Tamaki (Aho Girl) at Diomedea. The series composition will be overseen by Go Zappa(Beatless, Koihime Musō, Blend S). Yoshino Honda (Fuuka) is designing the characters.
The story follows a 15-year-old Sora Kurumatani. He is only 149 centimeters tall. However, Sora loves basketball. He ends up joining the basketball club when he gets to high school. The club has two twins who rule over the school and their friends. Can Sora continue in this kind of club?
The manga was launched by Hinata in the Weekly Shonen Magazine in 2003 and Kodansha released the manga’s 50th compiled book volume on November 16. The manga has more than 24 million copies in print.
It will be an exciting year for the fans of Ahiru no Sora. The anime will give the manga a better exposure, and it will attract more fans because there are many more anime watchers than manga readers.
