Agents of SHIELD will be coming back soon. We have waited for a long time for the show to get renewed and ABC finally announced that the show would be getting a renewal. The fans were satisfied with the last season but, there’s always room for improvement. Agents of SHIELD is the only Marvel show by ABC, and considering the success that superhero shows bring, it was only logical to renew it.
The sixth season of Agents of SHIELD will just have 13 episodes instead of the usual 22. So, this has sparked rumors that this would be the last season of the show. It definitely suggests that it could potentially be finished after the sixth season. There has been no official word on this so far.
ABC isn’t shy of canceling shows as we. Previous ABC boss, Channing Dungey talked about why Inhumans was canceled. He said, “Inhumans didn’t perform for us at the level that we would’ve wanted. The numbers, unfortunately, were less exciting for us than we hoped they would be.”
Now moving to the cast, most of the cast members will be reprising their roles. So, you don’t have to be surprised—
Chloe Bennet as Daisy Johnson
Henry Simmons as Mack
Elizabeth Henstridge as Jemma Simmons
Natalia Cordova-Buckley as Elena ‘Yo-Yo’ Rodriguez.
Iain de Caestecker as Leo Fitz
Dungey has revealed that ABC plans to make more Marvel shows. He said, “We continue to be very excited with what they’re doing with SHIELD. We’ve tried a few things that haven’t worked out as well as we would’ve liked. We developed a couple of things this season that we don’t think is going to end up going forward, so we’re going to look really carefully about what we do next. Because the idea for us is to come up with something that works very well for both Marvel and ABC, so we’re going to continue to try there.”
The sixth season will come out in 2019. There has been no news about the release date yet. According to rumors, the sixth season will come out in July 2019. That’s all from me. We will keep you updated on the latest news regarding Agents of SHIELD. So, make sure to check our website.
