A major focus is on the sexual intimacy of the characters and how they all cope with the same. Asa Butterfield is cast in the lead role and major problems revolve around his life on the show. It has received a wide variety of critical responses but the majority of them have been in the form of appreciation only. The themes in the series have been treated maturely which is liked by the watchers. Sex Education has been a success for the platform as well and thus, renewing it for the fourth season was an inevitable decision.
As for the lead role, we see Otis Milburn. He is just a normal student at Moordale Secondary School. He is quite knowledgeable in sexual knowledge because his mother is a sex therapist herself. Although, she has her own problems given the fact that Jean can not maintain a long-lasting romantic relationship. Eric Effiong is Otis’ friend. Back in the third season of Sex Education, we saw that Otis, along with his close ones, is entering a new year at his school.
He is now in a relationship with Ruby. As for Jean, she has now become pregnant. Eric, who was gay from the start of the show, has now made his relationship with Adam official.
