Synopsis

Pontifex Rembrary (Kim Min Kyu), the protagonist of our story, is considered by many to possess the most divine power imaginable. Since Rembrary is the High Priest of an otherworldly cult, the cult members hold him in the highest regard.

He is suddenly transported to modern-day South Korea while engaged in combat with the devil, where he ends up trading souls with a human on Earth. When Pontifex Rembrary takes over the body of Woo Yeon Woo, a member of the failing idol group “Wild Beast,” he wakes up in a crowded dorm.

Woo Yeon Woo’s K-pop group, which had been together for over three years, was failing miserably. Due to their lack of success, they were planning to split up. Rembrary, on the other hand, knew almost nothing about K-pop culture!

While the group is on the verge of disbandment and left with no hopes of a comeback, Woo Yeon Woo’s biggest fan, Kim Dal (Go Bo Gyeol), is desperate to keep his career from failing. Becoming the new manager of Wild Beast, Kim Dal supports the boys and helps prevent them from disbanding.

But it soon becomes clear that Rembrary is not the only spirit that has entered the K-pop culture. Others have also followed, including a strong chaotic force that is set on bringing chaos and destroying Earth. Can Rembrary and Kim Dal turn things around and save the day?

Cast

Starring Kim Min Kyu and Go Bo Gyeol as our main protagonists, High Priest Rembrary boosts great chemistry between the two, which has hugely contributed to the K-drama’s success! Apart from these two, the drama also stars Lee Jang Woo, Tak Jae Woo, Ye Ji Won, and Park Sang Nam.

Kim Min Kyu

Kim Min Kyu, who started his acting career ten years ago with the drama “Monstar” (2013), plays our High Priest Rembary, Pontifex, who has traded souls with K-pop star Woo Yeon woo. Min Kyu has been a part of popular dramas like “A Business Proposal” (2022), “Snowdrop” (2021), and “Queen: Love and War” (2019) since he began his acting career.

Go Bo Gyeol

Go Bo Gyeol, who portrays our upbeat manager Kim Dal of Woo Yeon woo’s group ‘Wild Beast,’ made her acting debut in 2011 with the film “Turtles,” and her first drama being “Angels Vengeance” (2014). Since then, she has been in other K-dramas in supporting roles, including Goblin (2016), Hymn of Death (2018), and Arthdal Chronicles Part 1, 2, and 3 (2019).
