The producers of The Office and Bad Trip are back with another refreshing and witty comedy series, Jury Duty. This brilliant comedy will be about a jury trial being observed from the eyes of one person, who will be unaware that the entire court setting is actually all a setup.

The show is shot in a documentary style with everything from the judge to the case, and even eleven out of twelve jurors will be fake, but this will be kept a secret from the twelfth juror, Ronald Gladden. Throughout the show, Ronald is kept in the dark, unaware that everybody around him is acting.

The Changeling Episode 5 Ending Explained

The show has actor James Masden also pretending to be one of the jurors alongside Evan Williams, Kirk Fox, David Brown, and many others all acting as real jury members. The show’s makers have said that they wanted to create something similar to The Office setting except for in a court setting this time and where the lead guy would not know that the reality around him is actually all fake.

The concept of this documentary-comedy series feels really interesting and never-done-before. It is going to be a challenge getting humor out of one person when he is not even aware of the truth, but the talented comedic actors would definitely manage the task.

Jury Duty Episode 1: The Plotline

The show has cast the best comedic actors, along with James Marden, who seem prepared to put their best foot forward for the show. With a fake judge, case, and even jury members, the show is ready to bring the most absurd yet hilarious moments inside the court.

We will be observing court proceedings from the point of view of one juror, Ronald Gladden, the guy who also happened to be completely unaware of the fact that everybody around him is pretending to be the real thing. After knowing that everyone except for Ronald is acting, one thing that is ridiculously funny in the show is how seriously he takes the court proceedings.

He is a solar contractor from San Diego and also a responsible juror. The entire cast of the show is prepared to indulge in the most absurd court proceedings, and the goal of the directors is to catch Ronald’s response to all of them.

The show follows an extremely creative and bold concept, and it will not be very easy to get comedic moments in such a high-pressure situation. Still, the makers have taken this incredible challenge, and they do not seem that fazed by it. The show, according to them, is not just about comedy but also about humanity in a setting as mundane as a court procession.
