Although, things soon get heated up when they all start to argue about the interpretation of the entire play. As for Abe, he thinks there were various deeper themes to the play that could be perceived.
But for Rose, she thinks it was a simple direct story with no hidden agenda behind it all about a boy and his dog. Although, the worst part was when Abe insults Rose while talking about her intelligence levels. She takes it as a bullet to her heart and thus, in order to prove her point, even calls the playwright for answers. He proves that Rose was right and he was just describing a story about his own younger self with his dog.
As the two get home, they are greeted with yet another news. Turns out that Zelda and Janusz have now got engaged. Later in the episode, we also see that Abe tries to apologize to Rose but only in his own way. Also, at work, Gordon talks with Midge with the intention to ask her out. Although, she refuses him again because first of all, he’s her boss and second, she herself is married.
