Ever wondered what life’s like for sisters who gained fame overnight? That’s what “The D’Amelio Show” is all about. Featuring the lives of two sisters, Charli and Dixie, this docu-series shows us the life of the family outside the 9:16 screen.
Charli had always been a dancer and a performer, but only after uploading her TikToks on the internet she gained huge amounts of followers soon. This brought Dixie into the limelight as well. Now both sisters have successfully used their popularity to their advantage and have successful careers of their own.
The D’Amelio show first started on September 3rd, 2021. Although it gained a lot of drama and criticism, The Hashtag by the name of the show ended up having 160 million views on TikTok. Due to the family’s honest and raw portrayal of their lives, the show resonated with many viewers worldwide.

With executive producers like Aaron Saidman and Eli Holzman, This show was started as a way to get to know Charli and Dixie’s life beyond the internet. Season one mostly dealt with the family’s journey to fame and everything that comes with it. It also had a few controversial moments, like the episode having Dinner with James Charles, for which the girls received much hate and loss of 1 million followers.
It also was a reminder that behind the talented and confident TikTok stars are normal teenagers who just wanted to make their dreams come true. With the premiere of season two, we will be seeing Charli and Dixie try to find their calling and experiment with different stuff.
Charli now wants to take a break and focus on something else, such as making music. What holds her back is the fear of Overshadowing her sister, Dixie. For a while now, Dixie has been releasing her albums and performing tours. She even performed at the Jingle Ball LA Tour, which had other artists like BTS and Saweetie on the same stage.
Their Parents, Heidi and Marc, support her, but Heidi thinks she shouldn’t be hiding her music career from her sister. Charli is in a dilemma. She knows Dixie is going through a rough time, and her knowing it would only make things worse.

The last few episodes, which were aired on October 5, 2022, had both sisters in a tough place in their lives. Last Wednesday, we got to see that Dixie wanted to move out of her apartment to another place that would suit her. While Noah had already asked her about moving in together, she doesn’t feel comfortable with that and would rather move in with her sister, Charli.

Charli, who is now almost an adult, felt she wasn’t ready for it yet. Dixie let her know that she would feel much better if her sister was there for her in this tough time between her and Noah. Their relationship was not going well as both of them were busy with their work with no time for each other.
On the other hand, Charli has been having vocal coaching sessions with Emi Secrest. She feels glad to be experimenting and hopes her sister wouldn’t mind. Both of them move into their new home along with their dog, Rebel.
Now having some alone time, The parents, Heidi and Marc, go out on a date and talk about the passion both their daughters have for their dreams. Charli then goes for a rehearsal for a movie, and her father comes to support her.

What Can We Expect in The Upcoming Episode?
With the cliffhanger we were shown in the last episode, we can conclude that the next episode will focus on cheating allegations against Dixie D’Amelio. She was seen in a club with Griffith Johnson’s arms around her. Dixie will address those claims with what the actual reality is.
Heidi D’Amelio hints at the family taking a vacation to the East Coast next week. This will give Charli and Dixie a much-needed break from their fully packed schedules.
